Barotrauma legacy was a buggy mess. That didn't stop me from getting enjoyment out of the game. The highs were high and lows were low, and it was clear there was so much potential.

The Steam release transformed that shell of a game into a complete experience. They cut out the bad as best they could and expanded upon what made the game special. There are still some rough parts of the game that need some smoothing, but if the devs continue to improve this game I believe it can become something special.

The price tag is the biggest issue so far. However after just a couple of hours I knew the game was worth it. There are some dry spots while playing, but those are completely overshadowed by the highlights of the game.

Buy this game when it's on sale, give it a chance. If you enjoyed legacy Barotrauma I cannot recommend this game enough. The game itself is great, I just hope the devs/publisher lower the price because that's the biggest issue right now.

A masterpiece of modern games, challenging what society deems a AAA game. At a quick glance Bad Rats may seem like just another physics puzzle game, but it is so much more. This game is a rollercoaster of emotions depending on what's on my screen. When I see my army of rats I beam with joy. When I see fat rat I get excited. Excited in a way words can't describe. When I see bomber rat become nervous. Nervous, but proud of what he will do for the good of the rats. BUT, worst of all, when I see cats I get mad. SOOO, so mad. I just want to KILL every cat I see to protect my little rat buddies. Cats are just the worst.

Overall I recommend this gem to anyone who calls themselves a gamer. If you want to experience the downfalls and glories of our little bad rats, check this game out.
