Early Access Review
Game is 10000% worth the price for the way Merris' honkers flop up and down as she floats.

In all seriousness though, really enjoy the DOS game artstyle a ton. I'm having a difficult time with the combat but I think that's normal for most Survivors-like games to struggle early on.

Also, I'm not sure if I'm vibing with the humor either. The game totally deserves to take itself seriously and probably would benefit from it.

Overall though it's pretty fun so far.

This game continues to never get stale 600 hours into. The fact I'm bad at it might help with that. But this really really really scratches that TCG itch without hurting your wallet the way TCGs do. One of my most played games hours wise for sure.

Oh my lord, this game is really, really great.

The best thing about this game is also the worst thing about it. When you're playing Rimworld, the hours just drift by as you're continually improving your colony and caring for your colonists. Unfortunately, also this means that you really don't get a lot of stuff done because you're spending so much time in this game. The extra dangerous part is that you really get that feeling of accomplishment and fulfilled responsibility when all you've been doing is playing a video game all day.

That being said, this is one of those games, like Minecraft, where there's basically no limit to the possibilities. There's not much gameplay that comes from the game itself - you're dropped onto a planet with 3 colonists and you decide how the game plays out from there. Sure, the AI will drop challenges on you along the way, and that keeps you on your toes, but it's up to you how you want to deal with everything coming at you.

Also, the developer is one of the growing number of developers that will release native builds for GNU/Linux, so THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT! Our community of nerds are happy to support any developers out there wholesale that are willing to support us. Thank you!

It's a short, atmospheric jumping puzzle. I think it took about 30 minutes to full completion. Really nice electronic soundtrack.

I really, really, really, really, really want this game to be good. It has a few things going good for it, and most of them are the fact that it has trains. The tutorials are half-assed, I needed to look up the signaling system on Wikipedia and learned it from there instead of anywhere in the game. The sounds are pretty bad. Optimization is HORRID, though some of the trains and the scenes are really pretty. Also, the DLC is a ripoff. $40 for a route, and a couple locos/stock would be almost worth it if it came with more than 3-4 scenarios. As I look through the comments I'm seeing some suggestions for other trainsims, and I think I might want to go ahead and check them out.

I am however, going to say that despite all of its flaws, I do keep coming back to this game and driving more trains. Here's to hoping eventually the game gets better.

Oh, and one last thing. I like how driving a train is so easy, they need to have Sean Bean narrate a monologue about how hard it is to drive a train. Really, its REALLY hard guys. Boromir says so!
