Reus 2 is a God-sim game in which you control multiple elemental gods in order to turn a barren planet into a thriving, diverse one full of life.
It is simple to learn, and yet full of strategy, variety and objectives. One of the greatest joys of this game is that there are so many unlockable systems, human factions, and even gods and biomes, that each playthrough feels different from the last.
It is also really chill - there is no time limit, the graphics are pleasing and charming, and you can't really 'lose' in it.

In higher-level play, it becomes a challenging strategy/puzzle game in which you try to use your limited resources to be the most efficient. Only with good decision-making can you succeed in the hardest challenges of the game. As someone who loves optimization challenges, this is really fun for me.
Another favorite aspect of mine is completing a playthrough and seeing all the new stuff I unlocked - a promise of all the new systems you can explore and new play-pieces in your sandbox, that just makes me itch for another round of play.

This game is not perfect. In my opinion, its reward system is heavily dependent on new content, meaning once you unlock what is available and completed whatever objectives it has to offer, the game becomes a lot less fun to replay.
That's not huge criticism, mind you - any game is over when it is over, essentially.

Final quick note - it is virtually superior to the first Reus in every way and fully makes the original obsolete to buy or play. I think that's a great thing, because it's not easy to make a sequel that rocks so much.

Anyways, if you're looking for a fun, chill & surprisingly intricate game to play, Reus 2 would be a great choice. If you're not really details oriented then this game might be cute but not worth your time all that much.
Highly recommend.

Darkest Dungeon II may be a sequel, but it is a very different game than its predecessor.
It is a turn-based roguelite RPG, thematically inspired by lovecraftian horror that fills the player with dread equally with its dark aesthetic and crushing difficulty.

It is a difficult game, but a streamlined one. The number of player choices are limited, and it is quick to send you from place to place.
This is a huge difference from the predecessor, where lots of focus was put on preparation and the unknown - this game is 90% combat and 10% everything else.
Thankfully, the combat is fun and layered. While it is simple enough to learn in a few minutes, coming up with team compositions and altering abilities is an interesting challenge of its own.
The visuals in this game are striking, and the 3D models are really able to capture the aesthetic of 2D.

I will say that this game is repetitive and you've sort of seen everything it has to offer in the first 10 hours of playing. You will often encounter enemies and items you've seen before, and it won't be long before you settle on a team you feel comfortable with and have no incentive to change things up.
The game's narrative is fine - not too interesting but not boring or annoying.
This game is also not nearly as atmospheric as the first Darkest Dungeon, and doesn't often make the player feel scared or stressed.

All in all - In my opinion, Darkest Dungeon II is a good, fun and challenging game, but a flawed one that definitely won't make everyone happy.
If you haven't played the original, I would still consider the first game better, as it feels more nuanced, and its focus on atmosphere and the game's trademark sanity mechanic a plus.
If you have played the original and loved its combat and also like roguelikes, this game should totally be up your alley.
If you do not like horror, difficulty, or repetitiveness, I would strongly encourage you to avoid this game.
