This game is fantastic. Everything from the gameplay loop and difficulty scaling, to the survivor roster and abilities, to the item and equipment pool, to the enemy and boss lineup, down even to the visual design and music, all play some part, no matter how small, in not letting me get away from this game for very long before I'm inevitably pulled back in. With the recent addition of artifacts that modify the game rules in ways that fundamentally change the way a run feels, Hopoo have addressed the only concern I had, which was the repetitive nature of the gameplay loop. Now I can legitimately, truthfully say that I recommend this game wholeheartedly to anyone who enjoys roguelikes and appreciates interesting games with unique aesthetics. Hopoo has confirmed post-release content, so if you're someone who's interested in watching a game grow, don't think you've missed your chance.
