having sunk many hours and many empires I can tell you it never gets boring especially with all the new expansions coming out (base game gets dry quickly)

there is lots of lore to go through and missions alternates each game so you don't get the same missions(unless you've already done them all)

really recommend the game for someone that is looking for large scale strategy, big space battles, pulverizing races and of course becoming the galactic emperor(come to the dark side). for those who like micromanagement it's possible and for those who don't you can automatize your planet economies to make it easier for you !
