I have mixed feeling about Ufo 50. Yes you get 50 games, depending on your tastes you will find a handful of stand out games that you'll come back to again and again. Many (perhaps the majority) of games are derived from obvious classic 80's and 90's sources which reduces their appeal somewhat if you're old enough to remember the originals. Yes there are twists on the classics, but the core game-play for many of these games feels a little too familiar. Coupled with this and the deliberately awful control schemes in some of the games and I'm not sure UFO 50 is worth the sticker price. There's certainly original stand outs in here, so much so you'll wish they were separate games entirely, but of the 50 games, I can only see myself playing maybe 10 of them for more than an hour or two.

The presentation of the games themselves is lovely. Jaunty music, delightful retro graphics, classic title screens, great idle cycles. Ufo 50's presentation is super polished here without question.

I'm aware there's a meta-game and a lot of people are enjoying that aspect, but this seems of limited life once it's fully discovered by these bold early adopters (again, a nice riff on original cartridge style games). I understand Ufo 50 is designed so the more you put into the games, you more you'll get out. It's a bold experiment in that sense, but feels to me like it could have been Ufo 20 perhaps in terms of the games included.

I now own two copies of this game, on two separate platforms. This game is such a rare gem that I have no problem at all paying for it multiple times. Balatro has easily replaced my previous 'desert island' games. A simple set of rules that have you building hands to earn stacks of chips to win each round is enhanced by a multitude of ways to buff the individual cards in your deck, add or subtract from your deck, make each hand type score more, and that's all before you add the rule-breaking Jokers that basically super charge everything. You're battling time pressure and each round slowly ratchets up the chips needed to beat it. And just when you think you've built the perfect Balatro engine and it's a cake walk to unlocking another deck...a Boss Blind turns up that throws a spanner in the works. Delightful and beautifully well executed. Cannot recommend enough. Just buy it already.

Stray is an example of why I play indie games. Short but sweet.

This has to be a game inspired by Talking Head's '(Nothing But) Flowers'. Cover abandoned highways, junkyards and concrete towers with hanging flowers, colourful bushes and trees. Challenge level is fairly low, but it's a peaceful time too.

Who's more flawed, you, or the people you're questioning? Best drunk amnesiac detective game I've played in a while. Bonus for artwork and deep back story.

I was a fan of Spintires, then MudRunner and I feel the game has come a long way in SnowRunner. The UI and various mechanisms (like winching) in the game are noticeably more polished, there's more detail and variation in the environments - and there's a lot more structure in terms of tasks/missions etc. The vehicles are a lot more customisable than in the past as well. Highly recommended if you're a Spintires/MudRunner fan.

$3 in the Steam sale, three hours played. Good value for money at the price. Plays like a combination of Tetris and an extremely simplified Sim City game. A simple relaxing game to crank for 30 minutes now and then.

Reseña de acceso anticipado
Ever dreamed of scrapping space ships for a living! Don't bother admiring the fantastic view outside the dry dock though...there's no time! Cut and tether with skill because that company debt isn't going to pay itself off. People are complaining about the 15 minute shift timers, but all that does is focus your efficiency. You can spend multiple shifts scraping the same ship, the shift time means you have to think about value and effort, risk and reward. No regrets purchasing this early access - it's pretty polished for an EA game.

$3 well spent. Turn off the 'scoring sound' for a tranquil experience flying through colourful landscapes.

The game seems like it has potential, but squanders it with a confusing and somewhat cliche sci-fi story, and combat that quickly becomes repetitive, and some tedious gameplay mechanics to keep the train running. The game itself is also very short, with no replay value once complete. A complete play through took me less than 5 hours. Wouldn't recommend for more than $5.

The game itself also misrepresents itself, for example there's a mini-map that implies there are many stations you'll be visiting. However you'll actually visit less than a third of the locations represented on the 'map'. Perhaps they were planning for DLC or a sequel.
