There's many reasons I like Temtem. The enviroments aren't just "Ah yes. A town and now some grass that is flat." but instead are area's I can easily recall, going from a town, to a bunch of cliffs and bridges into ruins? Very nice. The creatures all have distinct designs from each other and I rarely confuse them unless I've gotten too used to my own nicknames for them.

The battles feel like actual struggles, yes you can get type advantages, but playing them is not all that matters.
I have the ability to oneshot some enemies yes, but most times I need to use the team format of battling to my advantage. I'll give a starter example:

Using a Saipat (The Trident Wielding Platypus, Melee/Water creature) and Smazee (Starting Melee Monkey) gives me the ability to use Smazee's "Show Off" ability to synergize an extra buff since they are both Melee type.

You don't just go in and click attacks until the enemy is all dead, trading blows is a very easy way to lose your team. Spread out their types and cover for all eventualities, or make a team of nothing but birds with the "Of A Feather" ability to make sure they're always buffing eachother by simply being the same type of Tem. You can do what you want, of course you'll lose if you don't go in with a plan. Wanting the game to let you steamroll it and not considering changing your team to fit what you need is just not understanding the game.

For a creature capture team building game, it is very good and I look forward to its full release and will continue to play it as it moves forward.

First off, Final Fantasy 14 is my favorite MMO yet.

Visually FFXIV is beautiful, every action has its own effects and there's a lot of beautiful places to take screenshots or hang out with friends. Even the ability Icons look good.
Gameplay is classic MMO feeling, but you can feel that everyone matters. If someone drops DPS, you can clearly see it, though that's sometimes a bad things, other classes or members can usually make up for it.
Music is amazing, once you ride the porter chocobo's you'll never get that tune out of your head and I regularly hum it.
Character customization is great, there's a lot you can change to make you feel unique, including glamouring your gear.

I'm not going to get more technical because there's so much to do in this game, sit around and gamble with cardgames or bird racing, run dungeons, go raiding, work on crafting or gathering... you can do ALL of it with only one character too. Just change classes whenever you feel like it, and with the recent update there's more active players and more classes to learn now, even with all the others that already exist.

Used to love this game, wanted to get back into it but somehow getting 2 different error messages when trying to load into the game. Not at the launch, but after the main menu.

What I remember of the game was good but since I can't get into the game to provide a better review, I'll leave it as a game I don't recommend. If you can get it to work, then it's recommended.

A game that allows your imagination to make anything it wants as long as you can figure out how to make the physics of it work. There's many stages that make you change your machine to fit, even though you can still make a monster of a machine that fits all purposes as I did, it didn't work so well when I had to try and take down a flock of birds. Enter - Flight Items, it took me a solid half our to just work out how to stay in the air, and then another 2 hours to learn to flight it right.

If you like physics, puzzles and problem solving, this is a game for you. Good graphics, Good music and Good game design.

This game is cute, and it's got a good layer of strategy for Tower Defense. It's also a good kind of "Tycoon" or "Manager" game. You can relax to the music and the low difficulty as you want, and advance when you think you're ready. It's one of my favorites for just watching my people come and go and I sometimes get attached to the monsters in my apartments. That includes mourning them if they die...

Worth it at full price if you like any of the elements, worth it at full price to try it out as an introduction to one of the game elements! Pretty much just WORTH IT.

I've owned this game on 3 different platforms. Progression is great single player or multiplayer. It's really easy to get into and you mostly just cooperate throughout, except for a FEW moments. Me and my friends had fun with the minigame in this, where you avoid cutout stand enemies with your cutout stand character. It gets hectic, and we were all yelling and laughing. Definitely recommend this for local or online co-op.

This is the first time I will be putting a "No" recommendation for a game. I like this game, I want to like this game. I like turn based combat, I like stealth games. I like skills being added in. If you want turnbased combat with some thinking, go ahead and buy this but be warned you will be forced into turns and turns of simply jumping side to side, or up and down until everyone has to reload later in the game.

This games lines are a lie, your jump arc is a lie, the sight lines where bullets are SUPPOSED to go are a lie, hit boxes on enemies are invisible and bigger than them. This is not a precision game, this is guesswork or straight up "Extra space" tactics.

So first, the stealth is useless. You may be able to stop combat for a little while by sneaking, but when in combat the game itself says "Jump arcs are a lie" and "This game is not about stealth, kill everybody." This game preveiws you being sneaky and being precise in your attacks. No. You will flail around, you will get confused by the time stop, you will accidentally die repeatedly and have to take the same elevator trip over and over with their funny "Haha elevator music in a game with guns and swords hahah" It's not funny. It's really not. When you accidentally hit the down after you've gone up, so you have to go back up again.

This game is only long because of artificial difficulty. No matter how good you are, there is almost no way to go through a level without dying at least once past certain levels. This is not "Tactics" this is "Trial and error". Trial and error is fine for a sneaking game, but for a game thats supposed to be a tactical turn-based game where you are supposed to be creative about it, no. That is not "Creative" thats blatantly forcing people to find a pattern or suffer.

The skill system has arbitrary rules that will be super obscure and basically not let you use a skill in a perfect situation to use it, but it's badly described and unless you read your skill tree between missions, you won't understand why you can't throw your sword again when your "Strategy" relied on it. This is not good game design this is not "tactics" this is artificial difficulty on a painful level that gives a badly designed game extra hours of play.

If you play this and you think you're doing something wrong, don't be too hard on yourself. It's honestly not your fault. I've thought "I just don't understand the game". So I stopped trying to be sneaky, only to run into a wall of bullets for it and monotonous jumping where my "combo" meter filled only to not allow me to use my skills. I spent more time jumping around and hoping the red lines didn't decide to jump up to the tips of my toes to shoot me and apparently kill me because the heat from a bullet passing by my shoe killed me.

Honestly, get this on sale. Otherwise, I am ashamed to say I forced myself to play a level for an hour.

I've only played 2 hours so far and it is already a great game to play. Not bad alone but easier and more fun with friends, you can kite enemies and some of them actually take a little bit of strategy to kill! I like the classes, no one class seems overpowered in relation to another. I love the music too. It can get pretty hectic too. I'd say to pick it up!

This game is simple but worth it if you're looking for a game to pass the time. The story is the most interesting part, but isn't anything too out of the ordinary, the battles are simple but you still have to pay attention if you dont want to end up dead. For fans of old RPG's I would say to buy it! For someone looking for new and revolutionary work, don't. For those of you just looking for a relaxing time and an experience that doesn't try too hard, then go for it.

Plus, for some reason your companions take off their clothes? That's pretty neat too.

I only played this game to get to 420 hours. I shall now never play this again. If my playtime is above exactly 420 hrs. I lied and you can no longer trust me. If that day comes. I am sorry friends.

10/10 would play to be dank again, but can't because 420.
