I was very eager to play this game after seeing it run at an AGDQ event. It looked great, the soundtrack was interesting and the game seemed hard and different than a lot of other games I'm used to. I also liked the aesthetics and call back to The Exorcist that the game was most likely inspired by.

The game is by no means hand holding. If you are new to both the typing genre and the bullet hell genre, then there is an extreme learning curve but personally I like the challenge. Some of the jokes in the game are very much based in dated internet humor (although I did like the MS DEUS operating system) and one of the jokes presented is outright transphobic (potentially). You do have to literally search for it to find it, but I found it accidentally. For those that wish to not see the "joke" in question, do not click on the "Has Religion Gone Too Far?" link when you're searching for Titus Twister.
Otherwise, this game is refreshing and different than the games I usually play. It is pretty tough relearning typing and not pressing space every time you go to type a new word, but it doesn't punish you for pressing space. The game is more about patience, timing and understanding the patterns that enemies present to you.

Overall, I would recommend this game just for the sheer novelty of it. It's a very late 70's early 80's feeling horror-trope game that has some unfortunate downsides.
