343 Should make me lead developer.

I've got zero experience and am an arm chair critic, but I bet Master Chief's V-card that I could outline a better road map for a live service game.

Buyer Beware: There are no cloud saves on this game. So if you own a Steam Deck, tough ttitties.

I wanted to like this game so much, but alas, I grew very bored with it.

My main concern is progression is frustrating first, and boring second.

Frustrating: Quests don't seem to give you a clue what to do. Map markers don't show up in an intuitive way if at all. Its never clear if you've beaten a quest until you go through your inventory and click everything to see if a reward pops out.

Boring: All you ever seem to do is just mop up the same cookie cutter enemies the whole time. With progression going a snails pace, I don't get a lot out of fighting the same enemies over and over.

I hope the devs listen to the community and deal with the spawn rates of special infected. but otherwise a solid experience so far.

Edit: The devs did not listen to the community. This game is just not fun to play. Don't bother to buy, even on discount, because you'll only get maybe 3 hours out of it.

The story in this game is fantastic. Mathew Mercer and other top notch voice actors really bring the characters alive.

I was apprehensive of playing the multiplayer at first. Thinking it would be too fast paced. But it is not that hard to get into. Actually a ton of fun once you learn the Titan controls.

I think that the game is totally worth it for the story alone though! Don't need to be interested in the multiplayer to absolutely love it.

Despite the mess that was the launch of this game, there is a ton of content to be had. It feels like a beta release, not going to lie. I'll do a short list of pros and cons from my experience.

Pros:

-Incredible story
-Incredible art and design for the city and characters
-Outstanding Characters, this is the thing that keeps me playing
-Really decent combat

Cons:

- Broken Quests, worst one I had was Riders on the Storm. It broke multiple times where I couldn't trigger the next sequence
-Bad or non existent NPC AI. Everything from civilians to gangs and police. Its all pretty bad. This is the main thing I want fixed
-Not enough things to do outside of combat. No mini games or places to redo haircuts, face remodeling or tattoo customization.

Overall I love it, but it feels like it is not done cooking. Seems like it should have been pushed back 6 months.

Legends ranked in order of how much pubic hair they have

11 - Pathfinder
This one is a no brainner due to the fact that he is a robot and is seemingly incapable of growing hair to begin with.

10 - Octane
Octane is all about speed and will do anything to be faster (i.e. Drug use and sawing off his own legs). Because of this, I believe he would take measures such as shaving off all of his ball hair in order to be as aerodynamic as possible.

9 - Bangalore
Bangalore comes from a military background, meaning that she must be capable of sufficiently and efficiently caring for herself. This would include keeping her pubes prim and proper in order to sustain good hygiene

8 - Mirage
Mirage is known to be a fan favorite due to his charming looks and witty quips. While not directly stated in-game, Mirage definitely has sex on the daily with said fans. I can not picture someone who has generated such a lisztomania-like crowd reaction having untamed pubes as it would likely impact his sexual charm. Due to my belief that Mirage would put his charming nature ahead of his pubic hair, he gets the #8 spot.

7 - Crypto
Okay this one might be a little controversial, but I think Crypto is pretty clean down there. One could argue that due to him being a wanted fugitive he would be constantly on the run and thus have no time for shaving. However I would argue that since Crypto boasts a lot of tattoo, he is no stranger to showing off his body at points in his life. Unfortunately in our day and age, pubic hair is considered unsightly so I would think that he would keep it tidy down there between hacking and running from the police.

6 - Gibraltar
Gibraltar appears to be a Pacific Islander. Pacific Islanders have very little body hair due to the naturally warm climate of their homeland. That being said, Gibraltar does strike me as man who would grow it out as much as he can in order to establish a primal dominance over other smaller and weaker competitors in the Apex Games. However, his genes do not give him much to work with so he only would take the #7 spot as there are much more inherently harry legends on the roster.

5 & #4 (Tie) - Lifeline and Wraith
There is not a lot to go on and I believe both Wraith and Lifeline could go either way. I would love to hear some other takes on this, but for now I will put them between the people I think are keeping it clean and the free spirits.

3 - Caustic
Caustic is a cold and callus sociopath devoted to his nefarious research on toxic gas. I do not think it would be in his nature to be practicing this over-the-top villainy while still having good grooming habits. Furthermore, one could make the argument that he has sub par grooming habits due to his wild hairstyle and frequent coughing which would aid my hypothesis that he has some big ole pubes.

2 - Wattson
Wattson is from France

1 - Bloodhound
Bloodhound believes in the "Allfather" which is another name for Odin, a Norse god worshiped by who? Vikings that's who. Furthermore, Bloodhound uses several Icelandic words in-game. Iceland was indeed a former breeding ground for Vikings which basically confirms that Bloodhound either has Viking DNA or is at least a huge Viking weeb. Vikings were notoriously hairy evident from there long and mighty beards they had. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, then it probably has the pubic hair of a duck as well. If you are still not convinced, Bloodhound is an avid hunter capable of expertly tracking prey and befriending animals (or at least ravens). Someone who has these skills must truly be in touch with nature. This means that Bloodhound would probably enjoy acting with the flow of nature instead of going against it. Since shaving is technically unnatural, I can totally see Bloodhound sporting some serious pubes.

I'm going to go ahead and change my review.

This game has many flaws, but is overall enjoyable.

Two game breaking flaws that originally inspired me to post a negatvie review have been fixed by patching. One was display settings being broken. Couldn't play the game period due to poor optimization on PC. Second, Game would not start after capcom released an update. This was fixed a month later by another patch. I had a ticket open with them for customer support. They never responded to me again after starting the customer support ticket. I was going to request a refund from Steam if the newer patch did not fix this issue. Who wants a game that can't open due to Denuvu?

The game is fun. Its hard and challenging. I want it to succeed even though capcom has put minimal effort into it.
