Absolutely awful game. Want to shoot someone? No. The game mechanics for actually shooting guns is so terrible that id rather tear my nut sack off. I dont understand why this game is so bad. The mod is actually better than this by light years. Why Bohemia came in and decided to literally trash every mechanic about the mod is beyond me. Screw you Bohemia for actually being so trash at making a game. I say they need to abandon this project and give everyone refunds.
For everyone who thinks they might want to buy this game: Dont. Go play the mod. Youll have fun on the mod. Theres actual custom servers and a reason to survive for a long time. Play overpoch mod. You most likely have fun. Never play this standalone game. Never buy it. Shame on you Bohemia.

I have to say i was UBER excited for this game. But i was expecting it to fail miserably. I literally thought it would be a complete flop. I had guessed that the reviews for this game would be about 30% postive on steam. But to my suprise and delight, they got all the way up to 70% positive. After reading the reviews with speculation i decided to buy the game.

After it finished downloading i was scared because i didnt think that it would run that well at all. (I have a Msi GTX 1070 and a i7 4970.) But to my suprise and delight again, the game ran flawlessly. No joke, it didnt have any input lag or framerate lag. I know it is in VR so it frames matter a little less but still there was actually no performance issues at all. The game runs great trust me.

After being happy about the games performance i wanted to see if there were a lot of bugs or issues with the game. But there actually isnt that many things to complain about. I saw no terrible glitches and nothing was breaking itself. Loading and saving is extremely easy and seems to work better than its 2d original game. The game runs and feels completely fine in nearly every single aspect. BUT.

This brings me to my one and ONLY complaint. The BLURRINESS. You might have seen other reviews in this section saying terrible things about how blurry the game is. And yes they are telling the truth. So the blurriness in the game is like the weird depth of field filter put over nearly everything in the game. Things that are about 10 feet in front of you are perfectly clear and can be seen with ease. But anything past that is completely blurry. Like heavy blurry. Its unbelievable thats its in this game. And you cant turn it off. I have no idea why the blurriness is a part of the game and why its there. It literally doesnt let you take an accurate shot any further than around 20 feet away from you. Its crazy and makes no sense. Now i guess that the blurriness is there to maybe increase performance but at the same time i doubt it. It does make the game "Look" better, but doesnt help it play better at all. Literally the only thing that makes the game worse. Now this is my only problem with the game. Nothing else is that bad. My only other complaint is just aiming down sniper scopes hasnt been implemented yet but i guess it will be soon.

So this wraps up my crappy review. If you have a Vive. You MUST get this. If youve already played the game before, maybe just buy it when its on sale or on G. 2. A. .com. So you spend less and not $60.

This game is great and is definitely the best Vive game out as of right now. Even with the blurriness its still WAY too much fun. Its great.

Im expecting them to remove the blurriness feature later and then the game on VR will earn a solid 9/10 or higher from me.


EDIT: In game to turn off the blurriness all you have to do is open the console ( The ~ key ) and then simply type in "TAA OFF" without the quotes. Easy as it can get. Now the game is crisp and seems to run even better. It makes this game so much more fun. I rate the game at good 9/10. Just waiting for mods now.

Great game.

This game is a lot of fun. And it has a lot of singleplayer gameplay. I do not think it is worth the $60. Id have to say its worth maybe $30 to $40. The game has a load of unique levels and enemies. Its got difficult challenges and fast pace light parkour. The weapons make you feel like a total boss. This game is great but if youre looking for maybe a little more face paced game id go with quake. Or quake live. I recommend this game to everyone. But buy it on sale.

Quake is a load of fun. Its fast pace, rocket-jumping, b-hopping awesomeness. The game keeps in going with its unique levels. It has a good variety of weapons. And the enemies are original. The game is great. The only way to truly play is by unlocking your mouse into free look. But everyone does that. I recommend this game to anyone who wants a good original shoot em up game. Also learning to speed run levels is a blast. This is a must buy game!

i miss rust legacy... still is a good game but its nothing like its original versions.

Terrible. People want to say its fun with all the "NEW" updates. No. Its still bad. Yea it runs fine but its terrible lack of content still makes it trash. Have fun not playing a good game.
