Has some work that needs to be done. But all around was actually fun to play. 'The Cycle' and 'Dark and Darker' are the most similar games to Starsiege. However, all of the faults of The Cycle and Dark and Darker are mitigated in this game. Player movement is slow but fast enough to make fights prolonged and entertaining. Loot is simple but gives enough of an incentive to the player to actually loot crates as they come across them. TTK has been the biggest problem with these 'Tarkov-Lite' games. And I have to say that Starsiege's TTK is a little bit faster than other similar games. You can easily be punished and killed while rushing or trading shots. Weapons feel fairly balanced right now. In fact, I feel safe saying that some weapons could use a buff, and nothing nerfed. Excited to see what Starsiege brings in the future. Could actually get hyped behind this one. Also best feature in the game so far is that armor is player bound and not lost on death. So the grind is mostly about weapons and not armor hunting to become a tank. (And there is pretty much no microtransactions that I can see. Keep playing for free for now though.)
