Pros:
  • insanely fun gameplay that actually rewards you when you finally figure out wtf you're doing
  • tons of singleplayer content, such as multiverse (aka ladder mode's older, more interesting and fun big brother)
  • netcode is decent
  • optimization is ok, locked at 60 (for obvious reasons) with supers/menus/cutscenes locked at 30

    Cons:
  • RED SHELL SPYWARE
  • multiplayer is barely alive, with an average of about 500 people on every day. this makes it so everytime you queue up, after waiting for a couple minutes, you get a poor soul who just finished story mode 5 minutes ago and doesn't know how to play or a god with 1000 wins and 2 losses who knows exactly how to deconstruct you, but people are too intimidated to accept matches when they see his experience. if they do accept however, be prepared to bully or be bullied. i've been fighting the same new player for 3 days because we queue at the same time and i feel bad every time it happens
  • dreadful screen tearing without v-sync. turn that ♥♥♥♥ on

overall, its worth buying if you're patient enough to sit through queue times and like singleplayer content. especially if you have an easy to join guild or a lot of friends to play with. the game would be way better if you could queue up in the background while playing singleplayer, so you don't have to sit there and do nothing while the game struggles not to pair you with the same guy 40 times

GTA is fun, it really keeps you at the edge of your seat when little 12 year old Jimmy can crash your game at will. Don't buy it for multiplayer.
