I bought this Day One and I'm still regretting I didn't refund it. Waste of $70. They introduced a ton of characters in Tekken 7, but didn't let them return in Tekken 8...yet. You mained Katarina? Good luck.

Cheating and pluggers are still here. They didn't do jack squat in Tekken 7 to combat these plagues, so the best they could think of was make Tekken 8 and hope the problems go away. Also, you guys read the news about Harada saying they'd "prepare evidences in case a lawsuit happens"? that's purely defensive and they'll not be actively suing any cheaters/TOS violators.

Graphics and performance also took a huge hit ever since moving to Unreal Engine 5...which until now is riddled with bugs, crashes and random stuttering. Running a 2nd-gen Ryzen 5 and RX 580 from 2020? Good luck with that. The least they could have done was make a built-in Potato Mode that removed random stuff from the Background in stages to that the framerate stays consistent.

Last but not least, the MTX and Battlepass. This didn't piss me off as much as the graphics and performance issue, as one can ignore these while playing but the majority of the items that were included in the BP was trash-tier at best. At least make it worthwhile and goal-oriented.

TL:DR
-Roster lacking
-Graphics and performance doo doo butter
-MTX and Battlepass, it's all right, I guess?

Avoid buying on full price, at least until they fix the bugs and performance issues.

EDIT July 24, 2024: Dude, you guys still haven fixed the Polaris Fatal Error?! LMFAOOOOO
