While I think there is promise, this game is pointlessly hard at the moment. many things are not made clear at all and what is there is obtuse. there's a radical labor crunch and way way way too many buildings. I understand wanting more depth but requiring 5 different buildings to make shoes is asinine, not depth. especially early game where its damn near impossible.

EDIT: after playing it more there is just a learning curve I wasn't seeing. I still think there are some odd crunches (why is stone so hard to get) but overall its a good game

Really love this game, definitely needs some polishing but still worth it at the current price imo. more ambitious than any other game I've played

This game is, by far, the best city builder out there. It has a depth of play and mechanics that is just not seen in other games. the control you have over the mechanics of travel are so so good and you are able and incentivised to never import the infernal car into your glorious Republic so that your streets can remain open for actual humans and logistics. I have a huge number of hours in other city builders and this one pales in comparison to all of them. I don't mean to say its an ultra niche game by any means and you don't need hundreds of hours to understand the game itself, the biggest thing I can reccomend is to watch some tutorial videos and to do an Export based economy to kickstart and then backfill your needs such as local construction once you have a sizable capital base. This is a fascinating emergent part of gameplay because it is the *exact* line of reasoning used by Soviet Planners as well. The only thing I'd really ask for from the devs would be the option to have a subway line system and bikes for your citizens but the later is definitely a bit against type for the theme.

Definitely a good game that I can reccomend without reservation now. played on launch and it was kind of garbage but now its way better.

its been out for 2 days and I have 23 hours already at time of writing... Its not super finished but if Mount and Blade is your thing, youll like it
