The absolute best as far as VR comes. If you have a VR headset, THIS is the game to get even if you don't like Half Life as a series
I usually don't pre-order games for obvious reasons but when I heard that they were releasing a new Half Life game not only did I pre-order it but I also wenjt ahead and bought a VR headset (which was something that was unsure if I should buy or not)
I came in here with my expectation kinda low just so that I wouldn't have been let down if it turned out it was just a sellout move from Valve but boy oh boy did they deliver.
The story alone is amazing and as a Half Life fan I'm super stoked and excited for what's to come in the next years for this franchise.
But the gameplay and the mechanics are out of this world. Before this game the most daring was Boneworks for the amount of interactivity with the physics in that game. And sure it's incredible what they did with it but from my perspective it was a bit too much. Climbing for example is the most frustrating thing in the world and I still haven't finished the story for that final ladder at the end of the game. But in HL:A it's as easy as grabbing the ladder and pulling yourself up. If you wanted you could do just one movement upward and the game would climb it for you if that's your thing.
I had never been more pleased with a purchase as i have been with my headset and this game.
Seriously if you haven't tried it already do yourself a favor and just get this gem of a game.

Most boring BR out there. Sure the strategic part is neat and all but what good is a battle royale where literally most of your gameplay is going to be looting? Even if you drop in a hot zone and survive the rest of the game is going to be either looting, walking or camping because RNjesus decided that the zone is going to close where you initially dropped. And don't get me started on the netcode. I've always heard that it was terrible before release but after having finally built a good pc for myself that was able to run this game I could see with my own eyes how bad it actually was, even in 2019.
Some of why I dislike this game is of course on me because I prefer more fast paced types of games but all of this is just unbearable.

Also, let's not forget the complete lack of frequent updates. They have on their hands one of the most popular games on the market and they can't do ♥♥♥♥ with it? I'm not asking the same frequency of updates that Fortnite has but at least give us something more.

If you want a "good" BR game, do yourself a favor and go play Apex or Fortnite. Hell even H1Z1 (or Z1 Battle Royale apparently) is better if not for the lack of player base.

The best Early Access game out here. If you loved the first game this is an even better 3D version of it. They have a full roadmap leading up to full release. Definitely check it out.

Don't listen to these little snoflakes whining about Exodus being pulled from Steam. This franchise is amazing and the fact that finally someone can stand up to Steam and actually do something relevant and meaningful is amazing for the gaming industry.
I don't want by any means for Steam to fall behind but this will push them to up their games so why the ♥♥♥♥ are you all crying about it?

I will give a positive review and keep playing the game as soon as they let me change my resolution while on fullscreen

Does anyone remember The Culling?
And how its devs just did what they wanted, and kept changing how the game worked because some players wanted them to?
Boy did I think that no other devs would have been that stupid but here I am, proven wrong by this horrid mess of a game.
Realm Royale had such great potential, and at the beginning it was a great game. Tournaments every week. Plenty of streamers playing the game because it was actually good. Sure it needed some balancing to the guns and abilities but it still remained a great game.
But nope. They just had to ruin everything.
The main problem with this game as of right now are not the bots as every other review seems to think. Sure it's stupid that they're even a thing. But what made Realm Royale such a good BR game was the class system and how each one of them had their own abilities and legendary weapons.
But somehow they took the decision of basically removing classes as a whole (you can still choose between them but they only add some minor perks as cooldowns to specific abilities and more damage with certain weapons), and now all the abilities are universal and it's random which legendary weapon you can make at the forge.
I'm honestly perplexed as to why they went and made such and idiotic choice of removing the main feature that made their game unique and actually fun to play.

If you were thinking on playing Ream Royale do yourself a favor and go play something else as it isn't remotely worth your time.

Edit: I kept playing for another hour after this review because I was curious to find out more about bots and how they behaved. Well let me just throw out there that some bots are not there just to fill lobbies since they have aim. You peek a corner perfectly, switching side over and over and no matter what, they'll always hit you.
Just what the actual ♥♥♥♥ were the dumb idiots that made this game thinking?

After two years this is still one of the greatest games I have ever played. It is probably the best platformer on Steam.
It has everything you could ask for: beautiful graphics, amazing soundtrack, and the gameplay is just perfect.
If you are looking for a game not as rage inducing as Super Meat Boy but still challenging, and that will keep you glued to the screen from the very beginnig this is the game for you.
