TLDR; It's a natural 20, i.e. critical success!
Easily the Game of the Year for me!

After spending ~50 hours in Act 1 in Early Access, this is my review for the full release.

Larian's Baldur's Gate 3 is a successfull blend of Divinity Original Sin and D&D 5th edition.
They've managed to keep what worked best in DoS 2 (tactical combat, verticality and environmental design) and marry it with the 5E ruleset, while at the same time keeping in mind QoL player features like respeccing and so on.

One can see that this is a labour of love and that Larian has put in a lot of effort into perfecting this game, its systems, the environments and every aspect of the game.

PROS:
- Beautiful and memorable environments
- Vastness of tactical possibilities during combat and exploration
- Unparalleled, flexible conversation system
- Multiclassing is really fun and an effective way to improve your character
- The Reactions are amazing. Beware, the enemy uses them too. First seeing that Counterspell by the enemy mage was an eye-opening moment
- Great cinematics and excellent voice acting
- Good decision to allow the Player to respec at will, removes a bit of pressure about creating the perfect character. You can play as you wish and adapt on the go
- Excellent level design and the use of verticality

Use the environment to plan your battles, especially if you are playing on Tactician difficulty. Don't forget the barrels;)

There are SO MANY secrets to discover!

The game is not without its minuses, however.
CONS:
- You need a beefy machine to run it at a decent resolution and framerate
- For me personally, the choice of having voiceless protagonist is a bit of a downer. Narrator, while nice, is just not enough
- Act 1 is too big! ..and the whole game is perhaps TOO LONG!
- Long load times
- Some small bugs that still plague the game
