As a fan of beat em ups, this is great. It's on the slow and methodical side, as most of arc's titles in the genre are (river city girls).

If you think it's easy as you breeze through your first and most of the second levels, keep going to get clobbered.

Character variety is great, and the system is simple enough to not need to "main" anyone for efficiency.

If you're not into best em ups, this probably isn't your way in - go play streets of rage 4 or fight 'n'rage to get into the genre, then come back here.

It's slime ball with additional characters and some gimmick environments. Good for a few quick rounds with friends.

I'm probably a bit below average at shmups.

I'm having a great time with this one; the gimmick is simple and allows some high risk/high reward play as you dive in with dwindling shield to eat some more bullets, hoping you just might finish that enemy in time.

When I heard "bullet heaven", this is the kind of gameplay that came to mind - it's bullet hell, but you'll actually spend most of your time diving into them rather than dodging. The 30 minute survival genre needs to rescind the term and give it to this game.

Complaints about lacking enemy/stage variety are valid, but the waves seem well constructed with what's available. It gives a break at the end of each 2-3 minute section so you can swig your beer, very thoughtful.

The easiest difficulty can be a bit boring, but may be a nice gateway for a new player. 15 minutes on easy should get you enough to unlock the main mode where you can style.

Edit: I'm not saying crashing bullets makes you better at dodging them, but after spending < 2 hours in this game, I went back to Blue Revolver and got my first 1cc on Novice.

I love Mr. Driller. This is Mr driller in excellent form, along with some twists. I see a ton of hate for the castle, but it's my favorite

I can't believe this only ran me $1 on sale. Easily worth the $5 for cool music, skillful gameplay and rainbow tanning lights.

Snake and pac-man had a beautiful baby. The multiplayer adds in a small touch of Bomberman and I look forward to trying it eventually.

Kung Fu Master on steroids, but that's underselling it. Plenty of little goals to complete that unlock weapons, upgrades, and costumes, help keep the interest high as you blaze through you 11th 5-10 minute "last run of the night".

Probably not even 1 hour review: A beautiful love letter to the genre, the contra 3 of shmups. Can't wait to see the whole thing.

6 hours:
Easy mode: can clear it with 1-2 continues but haven't gotten through the bonus part
Normal mode: Can get further than easy-mode allows you to get.
Love the game even more now, it's a definite 1-2 attempt game every time I sit down with time to play. I love the length; ~20 minutes for easy mode and probably double for normal.

10 hours:
This is no longer a 20 minute game. Probably a full hour to get all the way through normal. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say every enemy is now an asshat and I must win.

You know how soccer is a little faster and more exciting when you add walls and call it indoor soccer?

This is indoor tennis.

I don't have the time to dedicate to true fighting games like Street Fighter, but I love the genre nonetheless. I truly appreciate games like Nidhogg, Divekick, and now Lethal League for providing those same tense moments with simpler movesets.

If you're a fighting game fan, give this a chance.
