not worth the money. If you buy the whole bundle of gothic games, the first 3 are worth it. this is just some extra baggage, that you're gonna look at for a while and then throw away.
Again, buy this only in a bundle and on sale

I will reccomend this, only for one reason. The fighter interface is way better than gothic 3.
The world is no longer open, so the story is driven from start to finish.
I don't recall this island. Thorniara? Was that myrtana? Why is the nameless hero (now king rhobar the 3rd or 4th) sitting in a throne room and not out in the field of battle, where he would be, because he was always the one to charge the battle?
So many questions. You get to see all the old folks, but it isn't myrtana.
The ending is terrible. Building the suspension is pretty decent, but then the ending is just paf... no way..
You don't get to talk to diego at the very end and the ending cinematic is dull, boring and doesn't explain much anyways.
Ah, one more thing: put the difficulty on the hardes possible setting if you want to have at least some fun in the game. The fact that the bandages only cost 1gold had made me rich, but left me lacking for a good fight. The one that would get my adrenaline pumping.
I'll also recommend this game, because I can see that the game devs had more in mind, but had to finish the game fast. I mean at some parts, the game looks like it's been made, like I did my masters on game developement.
Stayed up till 5 in the mornin, slept for 2 hours, got hooked on energy drinks and presented the tribunal with a somewhat, half decent, half finished masters.

Better graphics, the story continues, but that's about the only good thing I can say about this installment of gothic.
I was dissapointed. Thieving is a skill, that you can put skill points in. I wonder whoever did that, but if you don't, you can't lockpick chests.
Okay, I'm not going to say it's bad. It's different, buuuuuuut, putting 30 skill points just to unlock medium chests, is a no no. so I went and did all of it, without opening chests. Seriously shortened the campaign play time, since I liked to tinker around everything. now, chests just didn't matter anymore.
the only bad thing about this game is the fights. SO, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, TERRIBLE.
Instead of hitting an orc, my character is hell bent to kill the snake at his feet. Ignore the orc. Kill the snake at the feet. you've got your target picked, you think your character is going to swing against it? No. god forbid. I'll just completely swing past it. they should change the title from nameless hero, to cross-eyed hero.
Last but not least, I miss chorinis. They could have put the island in. If not the island, at least the city.
so, you finally get to see myrtana and the king. unfortunatelly, you've gone cross eyed so can't hit sh**

so, I have played gothic 2, the night of the raven and all I can say is, wow. So much expansion on the first gothic. Love the shrines, the addon campaign is golden, controls are great, good responsive, the world is expanded on from the colony, so I love it. You need to install a mod, the guides are self explanatory, have fun

if you plan to play this antique gem, you'll need to mod the game. You have a mod game guide, just follow the instructions and evoila. Instant rejuvenation of 20 years

I bought this game 3 years ago. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, AT ALL, NOT IN A MILLION YEARS, that you spend any money for this game.
Constant bugs that aren't dealt with, combined with constant new dlcs have made me to utterly despise the developers behind this game.
Game crashes:
0 compared to a few years ago. but now the buggs and laggs in this game are just terrible
- 1 survivor that dcs after start: no penalties for the killer whatsoever, just a bonus

the devs DONT FIX BUGS because they're too busy with NEW CONTENT and constant nerfing of survivors, meanwhile the killers don't get any nerfs whatsoever. (if there are, they are so minimal, you barely notice)

don't buy this game if you're not prepared to endure laggy games and random survivor weapon hits (getting downed by a killer 5 miles away from me1 with his m1 attack)

Oh yeah, let's look at the plus side:
reports in game dont do anything, if they do, I don't really know because there is no feedback. Game lasts about 10 to 20 mins, so it's good to pass the time if you're bored at work...
BUT THEN AGAIN, SO IS SIMS

1 year later, game still bugged like crazy.
and yes, there have ben 10 more dcls since then.
Honestly, I don't expect much from developers that work with CIG anyways. Just a huge pile of cow dung. Smells all over.
survivors got more nerfs. But the ebony memento mori is still there. yay for the killers.
I'm just gonna play without perks. why bother anyways.
another update that is due. After the endgame collapse, the killers got it easy. with noed especially, since they can now close the hatch. No penalties whatsoever.
I'm deffinitely getting the grit of this ♥♥♥♥ product. if you have at least 1 friend in the game, then it's enjoyable. As a solo player, you'll just stick to playing the killer, because playing solo survivor, is utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Also, if 1 player dsc at start of the game, well gg. still nothing done for survivors. devs are continuing to be crap. as usual.
When I get hit, by an axe, that is flying half a meter away from me, I'll just call it a day.
No rework is being done for the survivors side.

Okay, so, I just stepped into a trap when I wanted to disarm it. do you devs, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind explaining, why I stepped into a trap instead of disarming it? yeh...... there was a gate switch next to it so what.... means disarming trap became space or what? Just get other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jobs really, go clean streets, pick up trash from streets, go do car washing ,because you CAN NOT DEVELOP GAMES.

I'm playing on a gaming laptop, 4 years old. laggs created in the game, like I'm playing on a 386. no optimisation. no sense of playing anymore.
also 32gigs of space? are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kidding me? what a joke.
still the same piece of dung, just as the day I bought it.

great game. The deeper you go, the bigger they get.

this game looks nice and is nice. Although you don't know what the hell you're doing anyways.
