also found some neat functionality, ie. the fisheye camera. that is an amazing feature
so 11/10

the first thing most people will notice is the overwhelming cute graphic. and that is true! the dough are adorable!
there's even a bunch of cutscenes too in the early game that really sells that cuteness.

after that, the catch is the music, which is a lot of fun to listen to!

unfortunately the core game cycle is quite bland at the moment, especially the balancing. it's not like overcook where it's obvious what you must do to get the max stars (three). after some trial and error you will get it, but it's not easy, even at early levels... you need to put some efforts to get it.
problem is, there isn't really much of a need to push yourself to get the max stars, since even with 1 star you unlock the next level automatically, unless you want to unlock shortcuts.. which i dont really see the necessity for..

lastly is there is currently no single player, so if you dont have another player playing with you (couch coop) or a friend that buys the game with you, you're out of luck, since there isnt a lobby or mm as of yet.

i think this last point definitely is the breaking point for you to consider buying or not..

cannot recommend the game, much less the dev's practice

always loved to see behind the scene from devs, since the day of double fine adventure.
also interesting to see how dutch culture plays a big role into the inner workings of the studio itself.
highly recommended to watch if you're into these

got it when it's discounted. great simple software for editing videos!

please for the love of everything holy, implement an anti afk script, it's not that hard. right now its afk player left and right every match.. unplayable for a pvp focused team game

wasn't really interested in royalty (thought it's just dev making money from mods) until i saw some vids and and testplay it from another 'friend'. Tynan sure adds a lot of interesting stuff here, and the game rebalanced alot and there's all these small graphical improvement...
and looking at the update log, theres almost weekly update and adjustments! that's maddening
so i give in in the end, here, take my money xD

one of the best graphic for pixelart game, combining with 3d parallax effect and particles, loving it! the game itself is roguelite strategy. got bored halfway through the campaign (when it first released) but saw that dev changed some balancing and events, so might give it a try again later

• Gameplay is fun, and the roguelite progression mechanic isn't that grindy
  
• Mouse and Keyboard supported very well. i played as melee and ranged type with no problem whatsoever using KB+M
  
• It's easy and fast to level up new characters from scratch (up to your max level character)
  
• game runs very well, from the begining until the end, i only encounter one game breaking bug (using Mark i got stuck inside an obstacle, and i cannot get out. so i need to reload the stage)

• at current update (09.2019) there isnt much to do after you beat the game except replaying the dungeons to get achievements.
  
• the core story and premise is kind of weak. but the side stories and small event is nice and some heartwarming!

note that i kinda rushed the game since i was curious about the story and endgame.
picking damage upgrades seems to make the game a lot lot easier (i always see leftover health potions when exiting dungeons)
i beat the game with a non maxed character (i think level 14 john(?)) so the game isnt that hard or need to have you grind that hard. but i do admit that at the earlier stage it does feel hard

there is achievement for playing coop, lol. unfortunately only local coop only supported atm. so unless you have extra controller laying around you can't 100% it, good thing is they will support online coop later on

very poor support for kb+m (very hard to aim ), so unless youre using controller, might consider skipping it
poor balancing of class and skills
cannot recommend in its current state... (early access, per aug2019)
