Finally after 2 years it's out of early access.
And i must say it does NOT dissapoint!
The new BRUTAL mode is real fun, it even adds new mechanic or moveset to the v bloods (bosses) making them more challenging, way more than i remember when i beat the game years ago.
Granted the balancing seems off, some i can beat while much lower level, but some is real PITA even when i am on same level/ beyond the boss itself... but i'm really having FUN!!
And going blind to a boss fight not knowing if it's on the cakewalk side or the painstaking side is fun in itself!

already beat the game, it's a polished Beat 'em up game, underline the polished part, as usual per KLEI quality release!!
Although it's a bit on the shorter side, there's currently only 4 main area, but it's an early access game, if anything i learn from DST/NOI, i believe they will add more content later on, and even expand on it.

The endgame is beating the current 4 area in a harder difficulty (called frenzy level) and as usual per rogue lite, you either need to git gud, or grind enough gear to make the game easier.
The current hardest difficulty, frenzy 3 is quite a difficulty spike tho, i expect it's to make player play more and grind more.. if you're having a hard time, made a guide for easy farming here (shameless plug lol)

but in the end is it a FUN game? the answer is YES
plus the coop works well too! if you have a friend that's in the same region, since its using P2P connection. and that is assuming you have a friend..

Real glad Lazy Bear Games revisited this game and make a worthy sequel.
I really loved the Punch Club 1, and Graveyard Keeper just doesn't click with me..
This is basically Punch Club on steroids, bigger world, bigger trees, much more event and stories, things to discover, and oh boy the easter eggs.. hoo boyy..

One thing that i hate from the game is how I feel old playing this game, seeing those retro references and having the ability to understand and relate to it, lmao 🤣🤣
