So, having now 70 h in this game.

The game is great. The combat feels really nice. The abilities are great in their responsiveness and are just a delight to experience.
The base building is very fun and creative. The bosses and enemies have a good variety of challenges. Trying to find good builds and combinations for different styles and situations are very engaging. Over all, I really recommend this game both for solo and multiplayer PVE.

Before I go through some minor issues and one major, I will say that I'm not interested in the PVP aspects of the game and yet it is full of content anyway. For the asking price it is an excellent deal.

The major issue I have is that solo play does not support time passing without the server local game server running 24/7. So, no calculating time since last login. This can be good in some ways but are a huge detriment to some in game content surrounding the Servants mechanic.

On the minor issues side, a good thing would be to implement castle wide inventory when cuing crafting. Since this would remove a lot of needless inventory management.

Another thing is that holding to skip the intro when launching the game gets annoying after a while.

Still though, a huge recommend.

Overall Victoria 3 is a great grand strategy. For veteran enthusiasts and newcomers familiar with strategy Victoria 3 delivers a great product that is easy to learn but hard to master. I think it is well worth a buy if this is your type of game. If you don't know or haven't played grand strategy. Then this one might be extra interesting as a first choice if you like management and economy games that focuses on production chains.

As for release, there are some issues. If your wallet is tight, these issues are enough to warrant waiting for a sale, I would say. The issues are balancing, minor but not game breaking bugs and a shortage of content usually found in Paradox titles that haven't had years of patching and DLC. I have however no doubt that this is something that Paradox can provide for in the coming months and years as this game grows in to the flag ship title it really is.

I would currently at 33 hours played (with thousands of hours in the previous titles of the studio) give this game a recommended rating. With a consideration to the price being about 10-20$ too high, depending on edition, I'm giving it a 7/10 and when there is at least a 25% sale I would bump that to 8/10. :)
