I recently fully completed Life is Strange Remastered and I don't think I've ever played a game that caters to my niche more than it has. Because who doesn't love indie alternative, time travelling, nerdy, 2010's, high school-mystery dramas?

Although sceptical at first, from shoddy voice acting (that eventually became endearing), to the weird graphical issues introduced in the Remaster (as minor as they may be). I came into the game not expecting much outside of the 2015 jacksepticeye let's play I used to watch 9 or so years ago when I didn't really have a proper grasp on the English language, or picking up on important plot. Revisiting it felt so weird, but very nostalgic. Although, not in a "I used to watch this as a kid" kind of way, but rather a reminder of some great days in my life - "High school are the best years of your life" and all that.

Life is Strange is not just a gimmick game where the only purpose of it is that you change the choices you make. It rather harbours some really impressive and clever story-telling that kept me engaged through and through. Boasting an interesting cast of characters with good acting, it's one of the few "choose-your-own-adventure" games where I found the main character in depth and not lacking of personality or will. Often, in these types of games I find myself liking the side characters a lot more, but I can safely say I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Max Caulfield's character development throughout the game. The rewind mechanic was well-made, and made for some interesting player interaction. Instead of bombarding the player with "QtE's" there actually seemed to be purpose in it, and made for intriguing puzzles that forced the player to think beyond just what's right in front of them into the fourth dimension, that being time. It is not a game where the developers assume the player is dumb, which I appreciate!

Life is Strange is a song about chaos, time, fate and butterflies, that highlights the pressure of choice. It's about putting a band-aid on a missing arm. I cannot recommend this game enough!

This game is like being stranded in time atop Mt. Washington, dreaming of Santa Monica sunshine. The Obstacles faced are numerous and troublesome, but the hope to Get Well Soon and rise over the Mountains is much stronger. The innate obligation of people to Cross each other is infectious and leaves halls like a Spanish Sahara, you can only hope for Something Good to happen. Although the mistrust may make you believe that Kids Will Be Skeletons, In My Mind I believe that Max & Chloe made Blackwell Academy livable again.

This is likely the best FPS to exist at the moment.

This game is nothing short of hilarious with friends.

Sure there's an odd bug every now and again, but honestly, it's all round really fun.
Techland is still doing tweaks, bug fixes and adding new content, so I'd say it's definitely worth the price.
