I used to call this game the Dwarf Fortress primer. Still do!

A really solid early entry following the demo! The option for facial hair would be welcome in the future, and I hope that the server browser experience improves. In its current state, its not easy to pare down servers based on tags—one must resort to using the Steam Server Browser if it takes too long to populate the server list in-game.

Pick up the OG civilization builder! Such a fun game, but you have to want to play it.

Always worth it to play the Story Mode for the first time, if you're a new player. GTA Online is in a rough state, modders are rampant, and the only real way to play the Online is by initiating windowed mode, and then right clicking the top bar of the application. When the pop down menu shows up, wait 10 seconds then click into the game again.

You are now in a Public Solo lobby, and can make deliveries for your illicit goods in peace. Be aware, there will be a steady trickle of other players over the next hour or so, but you can always just do the Public Solo lobby teq again.

I played a little bit of it, it's alright.

It's a slow burn, and best played with a friend. The survival aspects of the game (managing water and food) are easy enough to overcome, and I encourage you to get good at kiting early on.

Also, mace+shield is v nice

A satisfying solo experience, and the option to actually play the game by yourself offline. Dev time seems like a slow churn, but they're starting to get somewhere. The black female preset looks awful, though all of the preset models are pretty ugly but this new one is pretty bad. Just way too shiny.

All in all, give it a try, try out the game modes that are outside of the survival aspect in online, and practice base building/crafting in solo offline. You'll get your money's worth if you've played other survival-aspect games.

Perhaps the best of the non-original Fallout games. Unmodded, it's a grand experience, even with its flaws; modded, you can get a lot of great moments.

(OLD REVIEW) The game is regularly updated and balanced, and has been just a grand time all around. Make sure you have a somewhat beefy computer--MEETING MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS IS A MUST--and bring friends!

I generally play on "RP", or roleplaying servers in this one, and they've been great fun. No matter your server, though, you can expect the same types of people you'd encounter in, say, DayZ or other survival/building games out on Steam.

This game DEFINITELY reminds me a lot of Escape Velocity Nova. A trimmed down, free to play version of Escape Velocity Nova, but still, the gameplay is still there.
