The worst thing about this game is that I can never go back and play the first game again. This game is absolutely insane. It's not just better than the first, it's leaps and bounds ahead of it, in all aspects. The combat is a massive improvement and even after 100 hours I'm not bored of combat like I was with the first game. If you liked the first game you'll love this one, if you felt "meh" about the first game I honestly think you'll still love this game. 10/10

Death to Chronos. Boons feel less impactful and they do not synergise well together. I've had maybe two runs where I actually felt powerful. The gameplay feels very slow paced and the odds feel stacked against you even more than the first game. Enemies have attacks that are either not well telegraphed, or they can change attack direction far too quickly that a lot can be difficult to dodge.

I've cleared over 250+ runs in the first game and I'm pretty disappointed thus far.

So I bought this in 2021 & like most, I was disappointed. Why? Because I, like everyone else thought this would be Dishonored with a different story, and it's not. HOWEVER, I came back to this game in 2023, not comparing it to Dishonored or hoping it was "Dishonored 3" and actually, it's a really great game. It can get really tedious playing loops over and over again but once I sunk into the game I really enjoyed the characters, story and action.

Oh and the music is great too.

If you loved PD2 do NOT buy this game. People are trying to defend this terrible release by saying PD2 didn't have nearly as much content QoL etc. PD2 has been out for a decade pretty much so they have had plenty of time to learn from their mistakes and implement good content/QoL.

This game is a mockery and honestly feels like they didn't give two ♥♥♥♥♥ about the game or the player base. It's a quick buck before the studio goes under. If people think this game will be updated and as good as PD2 they're delusional, I'm more than happy to let this review age because let me tell you, it'll be fine wine before it's aged milk.

Do NOT buy this, do NOT support online only, do NOT let devs get away with this absolute dog water quality.

Critical Success

This game cannot be negative.

Compared to Arma 3 this feels like a step back 15 years... Just get Arma 3 if you don't already. You'll have a blast in the campaign and the modding/online community and game mods are FAR more engaging. I had high hopes for a new Arma game considering how good the last one was and this unfortunately does not stack up.

It's Tarkov but better and in space. Just get it.

Game is really fun until about level 30. You'll get roughly 100 hours or so of enjoyment out of it if you take it slow to level 30 and don't rush it. After that it starts to get grindy and repetitive. Also the way dungeons and PvE are set up is trash, if I'd known that's how it would be I actually wouldn't have bought the game tbh. Play ESO or GW2 if you want something similar but better.

Really good game. Feels mechanically like Tarkov, but with SWAT 4 pacing/breaching. Definitely worth the price, however I can't speak for random pub lobbies. I'd err on the side of caution and make sure you have friends who will play it with you for the best experience
