Not what you expect but I can say confidently that it's more than that.

Great presentation but worrying in the long run. Nobody can fault Icebreakers for what they achieved by implementing source physics movement and gunplay into Unreal. What is worrying is that this game when it comes out will be viewed by many and compared to the gold standart that are the HL games. Movement feels off gunplay feels off the biggest thing that straight up threw me out of the experience was the crawling zombie torso's attack animation not matching up to the damage timing. To some this will be a nitpick but there are currently only 3 enemies in the game and one of them is broken. Which may be an indicator of what the full game will be like. Big and pretty project lacking in detail that is synonymous with Half-Life. My full support goes out to team Icebreaker and whether free or paid i will be getting Project Borealis when it releases. Only thing that i hope that is true is that this prologue demo is not representative of the final product to some degree.

Bot owners holding the game hostage. Fix the bot infestation.

EDIT: Valve began working on fixing the bot infestation and cheaters are getting banned left and right. As of right now TF2 is more alive than it's been in the past five years. The review is back to positive unless Valve goes back to doing nothing.

Early Access Review
Bought this game all the way back when Civvie recommended it in one of his roundups and didn't play it much. The game has come a long way since then and now it's more than worth playing. Gonna have a lot more fun with this one.

(My previous review at the time of it's release. Version 1.0) This game is a perfect example of what i call the Developer Rushing. First of all this game is amazing. The story the characters the character progression the replayability its all here. BUT it has the same cause for its problems that Blood 2 The Chosen had. It was obviously made by talented people with great ideas who just didnt have the time to polish it and had to release their creation to the public in an unreleaseble state. What are the biggest issues that people have with this game? Glitches optimization and glitches again. Game is full of bugs there is no denying that and one bug in particular could ruin your experience in one of the most important story moments in particular. Spoilers ahead because im going to explain that scene the way it happened to me. So we just robbed Arasaka Jackie is badly injured and wants to give you the chip you stole together. But instead of the chip he pulls a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GUN out of his skull and places it into yours. If i wasnt aware that Jackie was going to die here and this emotional moment wasnt spoiled for me by the trailers this moment would be completely ruined by that bug because it turns it into such a comedic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I love Cyberpunk 2077 to death but man do i regret not waiting another year to buy and play it when most of the issues listed here have been fixed (at least i hope they get fixed).

So TL;DR Game good but wait a year and you wont regret it

(Updated review. Version 1.6. 2 years after release.) What can i say other than good job CDPR. Stuck with the game through thick and not a lot of thin. Game was a mess. Barely functional. But now oh my sweet jesus is it a different feel compared to what was released. Game-breaking bugs and glitches are 90% gone. Content that was missing and wasn't fully realised was added and a lot of it is a gamechanger. I truly believe that there is no better action RPG in a futuristic setting out there. Deus Ex for me personally is close second but it lacks the customisation options and doesn't give you the same god-like powers in the end-game that Cyberpunk can provide. The story still holds up. The anime was a smash hit and serves to be a great companion piece for the game. No regrets here. Buy this. Have fun with it. And when Phantom Liberty hits. Whoo boy...
