Played the game. Liked it. It was okay. Good for some light gameplay. Graphics are good. Gameplay is smooth. No hassle. Free to play. Cant complain. Battlefield Equivalent Free to play Version.

I have absolutely LOVED this game I used to play it many years ago and I ENJOYED IT SO MUCH! Especially the Greek culture pack and spartan faction. This was one of the best addition to Total War Titles. LOVED IT I WOULD 100 % recommend playing it! THIS IS TOTAL WAR!

I FEEL CHEATED GOING BACK TO Wh2 for now!!! I would recommend buy only after Mortal empire releases. Honestly this game is HALF MADE with so LITTLE amount of factions. RELEASE DATE for the game means the game is complete and ready to play FULLY. YOU TOOK FULL PRICE UPFRONT but gave LESSS THAN HALF THE GAME... UPFRONT! Do you realise this guys? IF they wanted to release DLCs they should have but WHAT HAPPENS when HALF the product is made available on RELEASE DATE, YOU CAN PLAY LESS THAN HALF THE GAME RIGHT NOW.
I am waiting for mortal empires yes but the campaigns in itself have been BORING. I AM GOING BACK TO wh2!!!! there is no fun in the small map currently available. Shame on you CA. You should have taken only half price from us for this half game. Release mortal empires as DLC that would be way better. Instead of this..

Would recommend. I have finished the first case in the game(and uploaded on YT) & I would suggest to players to judge the game by itself and don't go into comparison with previous Sherlock Holmes Title as the developers have tried to do something new, showing us the young sherlock and watson ( and degraded the quality a little bit to attract the young audience but I feel it was unnecessary)

Here are some of the points I noticed which may help the reader to form an opinion of their own:

1)Initially the game seems off as you hear the crowd only murmuring which is annoying at start but it is made specifically that way as there is the new evesdrop option.

2)The character movement could be better it feels like the character slides on the ground when you turn it around while running.

3)However the new additions of cases and characters and other stuff makes the game more interesting than the previous titles.

4)Obviously the deduction option is brought forward too. The map seems to be more open world-ish and I hope we can travel around the map freely.

5)The character of sherlock holmes and watson is poorly developed. The dialogues and behaviour of Sherlock and watson are poorly written and the way sherlock reacts he not at all feels like an intelligent person he is protrayed as and known to the world. Also how watson is shown to be an imaginary friend in sherlocks head rather than a real person makes it worse. Everytime watson calls him Sheryy, I feel like punching him in the face. Character development is the most lackluster thing in the game.

6) There is a new option of voting. You have to connect your twitch account and your audience can vote on some decisions of the game.

Overall the game seems fine. Graphics are good, I would say too good, that you loose the sherlock homle feel of the game. Would recommend for all the sherlock holmes fans.

hint: Buy and download Total War: Warhammer 1 to fully unlock this game.

Short Review: All the pros of being a total war game like Rome 2 ... add some magic and fantasy lore to it. Boom you have a Masterpeiece.

Long Review

Pros:
1.Good mix of turn based strategy x fantasy x Realistic Battle simulator.
2.Very detailed game mechanics which are easy to learn but hard to master.
3.Long hours of gameplay. You will be entertained for years.
4.A lot of DLCs and Free LCs to choose from which add/unlocks more playable factions.
5.A lot of mods to overhaul or vastly change the game anyhow you like it. Good option if you dont like to buy DLCs.
6.Updated regularly with lots of playable factions and characters added over the years.
7.It can be played on multiplayer on either campaign mode or Battle mode with other people with the option to add Ai players.
8.Ai difficulty scales as expected from easy to very hard(in battle mode) or legendary(in campaign mode).
9.Not pay to win.
10.Good Graphics.

Cons:
1.Some DLCs should have been released as a part of the game. Money grabbing technique by Creative Assembly.
2.Graphics not optimized properly. Graphics are very heavy if you have a normal pc.
3.It can get repeatative but you wont feel it much.
4.Need to have Total War: Warhammer 1 to unlock the mortal empire campaign.

I would DEFINATELY recommend this one. It has that "choices matter" element to it and it really puts you under the pressure to make the right choice. The story is pretty good paced with just enough characters. This DLC shows us the side of the radio guy which we hear everyday while playing the game who gives us daily broadcast about the weather , coffee prices or the fighting going on in Pogoren. Really interesting stuff. But ends just a pinch early I feel but its ok because overall you will enjoy this one.
Also one thing to remember visit the Toy Store location as soon as possible , if you dont visit it early on say before malik dies then you will loose the bottom level in the toy store which gets blocked later on. You will also probably need a saw blade and a lockpick

What a beautiful Game! I have been a fan of Sherlock Holmes stories since childhood and me and my father enjoy its TV serials. This was the first time I played a game of Sherlock Holmes series and I loved it! Exactly what you would expect from a Sherlock Holmes based game. I would rate this 9/10. The Crime solving was interesting and bit tough I think they need to add something more for more enjoyment. Also Only 5-6 cases was short. I expected more cases. Will soon play its other games from the series . Also cant wait for that sh*t emo looking chapter one of sherlock holmes. ABOUT THIS GAME? MUST PLAY ONCE IN LIFETIME!

A Backstory before my review-

This game was somehow linked to me ( I think ) because I did research on youtube on this cthulu story(true story) which is related to this paranormal town near a lake where all houses were linked by underground tunnels dating to 18th century which citizens discovered later on by accidents, where occult activities were carried out by cultitsts.

The day I finished watching all of this on youtube, THE SECOND DAY THIS GAME RELEASED. COINCIDENCE? I have done my gameplay video on this game where I talk about this stuff which I wrote above(WarGamingTV on youtube check it out)
BELOW IS THE REVIEW OF THE GAME-


Very nice Game. One time play. Good Story. Good Dialogues. Okish to Good Graphics. Game choices? doesn't matter much as it is a story driven game, although you can get different endings. I liked the detective stuff. I feel the horror stuff was really unnecessary and it would be more playable without the horror stuff.

Overall I would rate this game 3.7/5.

For what it is worth yes this game is worth buying . Its a short story dont expect something too much from it get it cheap or its already cheap I guess. I think it was worth the money. People these days exppect something big for something small they paid. What happened next with michonne is killing me though. I wanna know more. Go buy and play the thing. Nice spin off by Tell a Tale. Would rate it 8/10. 1 point deducted because spoler alert i felt this story was bit short could have one more episode and 1 point deducted because i felt some characters and their behaviours didnt make sense like that "boss lady" on the boat settlements. Some things didnt add up overall it was great experience Just like the Original Walking Dead.

AWESOME GAME BRINGS BACK MY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES! I used to play this game for hours as a child, I enjoyed the faliure and eventual success as well.. Beautiful game with now good graphics. 11/10 would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
