I would like to begin by saying I like this game, I love side scrollers and building and this one has fantastic mechanics and plenty of stuff to build. However, I found it lacking sevearly in any kind of substance. After you finish the 5 or so quests given to you its just a universe to play in, which is definatly fun in its own right but gets old after a while. I wish this game had more of a story and interactivity with npc characters. I guess it feels empty and unfinished in a way, even after all this time. If you love games like minecraft, this is worth a try.


EDIT: The game has fully been developed now and has quite a fun and galaxy spanning storyline. Quests monsters npcs citys and endless workshop mods. In the end starbound became the great game I knew it could be.

The best of the series so far by a long shot, if you like fps you will love this game. In-depth story, breath-taking graphics, humor and plenty of action! The online coop and deathmatches are enough to keep you playing long after the storys over. In short, this is a must play.

One of the best games on here. Loads and loads of secrets, characters, bosses and more replay value then you could ask for. Twistedly funny plot and tons of classic 8bit gore. This game cannot be passed up, I reccomend this to anyone and everyone. PLAY IT!!!!!
