KIlling commies in the 80s? Count me in, WiC: SA gives players the control of the semi modern day forces of 3 major world military powers, NATO, USSR, and the glorious US Army. WiC is your run of the mill RTS, similar to Company of Heroes the player has combat support. With a slight twist, the player is given a lot more options than the regular off screen artillery and airborne. But that only plays a minor role i this game, unlike some other RTS games this game gives the player units right off the start rather than worry about base defence and building. So if you're one of those guys who can't or don't want to manage/maintain a base and get right into it, then this is the game for you. With the lack of bases it is up to the player and his wits and use of his units to win. Gameplay wise, in MP you have 4 classes of units. Each with their own special types of units. Like Air, Infantry, Support, and Armor, all four have weaknesses and Strenghts just like most if not all RTS games. as a player of C&C I found this game refreshing where I commanded actual items like the M1A1 Abrams of the AH-64 Apache, if you're into the whole modern military RTS then I would greatly suggest getting it.

The single player story is great, you start as a USMA graduate who is sent off to France for WWIII, but then the US is invaded, so half the game is Europe, the other USA. But if you got the Soviet Assault pack, then I think 7 more missions are integrated into the story where you play as Romanov, a USSR LT with the task of bringing down the West and bring glory to the USSR, this whole DLC brings an interesting tone to the USSR's side of the game and I highly recommentd this game. 90/100.
