Game's graphics no longer match the steam store page screenshots. They got horribly butchered due to the devs pushing out a rushed quest port. The game now looks distractingly worse.

Overall very solid game and would recommend, but I am thoroughly disappointed by the new engine. Feels very floaty compared to Insurgency on source engine. Game receives frequent updates though and the devs communicate with the playerbase frequently which is good.

I love this game, 8/10, kind of generic story, and I preffered the villain in farcry 4, but overall the game is good

im writing this review to express my biggest nitpick: The lack of weapon variety. This seems like the kind of game that would benefit from having tons of weapons to play with, but there just don't seem to be that many.

Of the four SMGs, three of them are MP5s (all of which have the same stats except the MP5K which has better handling and no downsides over the others for some reason even though you get the K at the start of the game).

Of the five shotguns in the game, three are the M-133.

Of the six handguns, FOUR of them are 44. magnum revolvers. WHY???

And of the seven rifles, two are slightly different versions of another rifle.

Not a game breaker, just wanted to put this minor complaint somewhere.

Great game, works great with low end PCs too

I still occasionaly play this game, and I played a ton of the ArmA 2 dayZ mod. I don't know if I like the way this game is heading though, if this ever changes I will change this review. This game is updated semi frequently, but those updates tend to add things like a single new gun or some new clothes, rather than focusing on the issues I feel are a far more pressing. I don't want new guns added to the game if it means a zombie can hit me through the floor, in another town, four score and seven ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ years ago. Please stop making new items and instead focus on making the game actually fair and not let the player constantly die from unfair reasons. Also, say what you will about the basic DayZ formula, but realism is not an excuse for bad game design. Add an auto run key or something, having to hold W for 20 minutes does not make me immersed.

ANOTHER EDIT MONTHS LATER - NEVERMIND, THE GAME IS STILL INCREDIBLY BUGGY

EDIT OVER A YEAR LATER - Nothing has changed, and the update logs sometimes are blatantly wrong about fixing certain things

EDIT - Two, almost three years later, this game hasn't changed a bit. (2017)

EDIT - Review was originally posted in 2015 and has been updated through the years. It is now 2019 and the game has technically come out of early access but is still borderline unplayable. Lots of content has been REMOVED, and a large chunk of the devs have supposedly been removed to go work on a battle royale game instead. Game's done.

Best competitive shooter on the market.
