For all the praise this series gets for its size and scope, I'm always blown away when I fire it up and see how boring EVERYTHING is. Poor first person combat with huge stat-based fluctuations, an overload of mundane quests, empty random dungeons, ugly characters, and an unintuitive leveling system.

Go play King's Field or Shadow Tower Abyss instead of this.

Possibly the only Role Playing Game among videogames.

You might need to grab a quick resolution fix for playing on Windows 7 if the game crashes.

KOFXIII Climax ported to Steam. Features a better interface over the console ports, vastly superior netcode, and the DLC characters unlocked. The resolution options are shady since the sprites are native 480p and upscaled compared to the backgrounds when it runs at 720p in arcades.

4/5 One of the stronger KOF games.
