Arguably the best value jigsaw puzzle game I've seen on Steam. Hours of entertainment using the provided puzzles, and the underappreciated feature to add your own images to generate new ones provides a virtually unlimited number of puzzles to try. The only negative I observed is that the aspect ratio is slightly off for the puzzles and they always seemed slightly squished. Unfortunately at this time the achievements don't count on Steam's totals.

Terminator: Resistance is not just a random FPS that's using the a movie license to get more sales. It's a worthy game crossover from the Terminator movies. Just about every aspect of this game takes into account how the movies portray the future battle against the machines and pays tribute to them with consistent references and attention to detail. Music, visuals, sound effects and spoken/written references all support the feel of a battle against an army of terminators in a post apocalyptic world. Great implementation of technology of the character to use in the game, both in the resistance campaign, and in the free Infiltrator mode DLC where you are a T-800 hunting down resistance members. There's a good skill tree that can be fully utilized through level-ups and finding skill books as you explore. One thing you may not be aware of is that hacking Skynet terminals is suspiciously like playing Frogger.

One aspect that might not appeal to female players is that your character is male and no female option exists. Hearing yourself with a masculine voice and couple conversation options with male-emphasis may detract from their enjoyment, but I'd say that the positives greatly outweigh those negatives.

After four hours of play, I've finished all the puzzles without much effort. The game's images and it's music are very entertaining, but a pretty short source of entertainment, and casual at that. Achievements currently don'e register with Steam, but I believe that's Valve's call, not the developer's. I recommend it, but obviously take into account that it's gotta be priced pretty low to be a good value purchase.

Technically, Black Desert Online is well done and runs pretty well. As an open world, there are plenty of opportunities for glitches or getting stuck, but in my experience, the programming deals with these well.

The problems with the game that lead me to not recommend it are conscious decisions on the part of the developer. One big issue for many players is that most of the time you're playing, there is no way to opt out of player versus player (PvP.) You're protected in the early levels from being attacked, but it doesn't take too long before you be killed in seconds by someone just out to be a jerk. There aren't non-PVP servers, and there's no setting that prevents you from being attacked. The player killers lose 'karma', but that's less than a slap on the wrist in BDO. Ultimately that leads to a sense of paranoia anytime other players are nearby who aren't in your own guild, and preventing you from focusing solely on PvE.
The other design decision is the core of how the game is built. It's a grinding machine with real-world purchases that will easily eat up more money than normal triple A titles. Want a designer outfit? $7 USD. Want more storage space, resurrection items, or to avoid paying in-game taxes on market place sales? They've got that too if you want to pay to get an edge. To further emphasize grinding/purchasing to win, you can not share equipment with other players not in your account. People may be skeptical of my review because I've got over 1000 hours in the game, but it's intentionally designed to be as addictive as possible and rewards you for time spent being logged in, even if you're away from keyboard. It even rewards you for setting a programmed route in which you walk back and forth. It's like the people who sit for hours dropping quarters into slot machines.
The game has a lot of nice visual and gameplay qualities, but the unavailability of PVP-safe servers, endless grinding, inability to share with friends, and the absurd prices of real-money marketplace make this game one I cannot recommend.

Dark Fantasy 2 does everything that a sequel should do right. I found the music better than the original, the ability to mute both the music, audio altogether, or just the weird demonic voice that randomly says things without them making any real sense. The artwork IMHO is better than the original, and a little steamier. You also have the ability to black out the puzzle area background and just use a thumbnail to determine what the finished picture should look like, for extra points.

Achievement note- I had noted in my original review in 2020 that "Profile Features Limited" applied to this game. At the time, achievements earned didn't count, so no 100% completion or game collector as a result of having or playing Dark Fantasy 2. I no longer see that message on the store page, so I believe achievements now count on your profile.

If you're thinking about getting Dark Fantasy 2 or the original Dark Fantasy will only get one of them, you should pick this one.

Though this game is a bit old, it still has a very active playerbase for online gaming. The developer has stayed active with supporting it with updates, with the declared last one being in November 2019.
The game music is great, the sound effects don't really get annoying even after playing hundreds of hours. The graphics are a bit cartoony, but really well executed, and only look odd in rare situations where you're aligned close but diagonally to an enemy.
Leveling is done right, with greater counts of attribute points granted as you rise toward the max level of 100 for a character. There are 12 different classes, and generally there are two popular distinct build options for each class: to equip items and assign character attribute points with the emphasis to construct defenses, or for the character to deal damage directly. Some players balance the build styles, but that seems less common. The achievements are pretty demanding so it's good that players are active, as most of them would be impossible solo.
My main strike against Dungeon Defenders is that there's a ton of DLC. Sometimes you won't find anyone to play some of the DLC maps, and as mentioned, I do not believe some can be completed successfully solo at the higher difficulty levels.

I'm a huge fan of tower defense games, and found Sanctum enjoyable. The map layouts and enemy variety keep you from assuming a one-size-fits-all approach. The atmosphere and graphics are fine and the game runs smoothly.
Two significant points that you should be aware of: This is one of the few games that makes me motion sick after prolonged play. I've turned off head bob when walking, so I'm not sure what it is about this game, when only 2 other games in my 160+ game library have that effect. The other point regards achievements: Most of them are fine and fall in a natural progression that you'd want to achieve them while playing, however a series of rainbow fish and other hidden item ones may prevent you getting 100%, regardless of your skill level. Good luck finding them on your own, and it seems some of the game wikis once had hints for them, but supplied images are missing and some just don't seem to be covered.

The publisher of Knights of Pen and Paper +1, paradox interactive, is absurd. After owning the game for years, they make changes requiring you to agree to a 17 page privacy policy ( https://legal.paradoxplaza.com/privacy/privacy-policy-2018-11-02?locale=en ) to use their necessary proprietary system. If they can't sum up the privacy policy with the words "You bought a single-player game that has no reasonable need to connect to our servers, and we will not harvest your information for any reason and will not change this policy after the time of purchase", then they don't deserve the business. The game was ok, but even if it wasn't for the data mining, the in-game advertisement for DLC is just weak.

Poor graphics, lame narrating, progress lost frequently when exiting the game. It sounded like a fun game, but it's been pretty disappointing.

This is a good, fairly casual sim game. The designer gave you a friendly environment with small references to the IRL video game industry. The graphics and sound are simple but appropriate and don't get annoying. The basics are easy to pickup, and even though the game didn't seem to relate all aspects of play through a tutorial, missing concepts could be picked up along the way. I didn't feel like there was a ton of variation or new things to try after the first 10 hours, and replayability is limited once you get through all the achievements, but after taking a break from it, you could probably get back into it for another run through.

Also bundled at no cost is "Thank You: The Game 3," which is a simple Flash-style game where you travel around a map of about 10 locations and use menu options or other screen click interactions to help people out and are rewarded with cheers when successful. Just a simple, fun show of appreciate from Endless Loop Studios.
