Level ADP, adjust your controller deadzone options in steam, and this is legitimately the best Souls(-like) game there is.

Everything about this is worse (on PC) than Just Cause 2.

I could go at very length about how JC3 is way more "Gamey" than JC2- having environments that are pretty on the surface, but you find to be copy-pasted all across it's entire map, and with every single system stripped down to boring, simplistic and linear little grind-progressions, but really... my biggest problem are the controls. Baked in mouse acceleration, odd design choices like dropping melee attacks and having ankle-high invisible walls on every ledge in the game, and the way that every single vehicle is so god awful that you're better off wingsuiting everywhere exclusively.

All this game does better is the above wingsuit, and the way you can infinitely grapplehook without parachuting, wingsuiting or touching a wall, if you get the rhythm down. Every single settlement or mission is just "go here, destroy all 11 (at most, in the most complex of towns) Chaos objects, watch a cutscene, and then replay that exact same experience in a challenge mission.

The vehicles man, they're just so awful.

The art is terrible, the enemy attack patterns range from easy to avoid and completely nonthreatening to sand tornados that rip across the screen faster than the game can render them than oneshot you, the loot system is bad, there's loads of DLC that's basically mandatory, and...

Ugh this is just a bad game.

It's super fun but it HATES being alt+tabbed and sometimes opening the steam overlay will literally softlock you and the game won't accept any input.

Needs work- polishing, balancing, and all sorts of fine tuning, but it's an okay game I guess.

Also, SUMMONER WHEN? LITERALLY THE BEST CHARACTER FROM 1 GIVE IT TO ME, GIVE ME SUUUUUUMMONEERR EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I was not expecting a game about whirling your mouse around in circles to swing a mace to be so fun and have a deep, complicated, story.

From a VERY frustrating start, it takes until mid to late game for things to start rolling, but when they do ♥♥♥♥ gets real, real fast. One thing you'll want to do, is set your mouses' dpi (in the menu, not your actual dpi) to be lower than the game predicts, because it can make it very hard to move if the sensitivity isn't cranked way the hell up. With the quite sizable armory you build up, missable weapons and armor, and alternate endings and mission choice, the game has quite a huge amount of replay value to.

I mean, ♥♥♥♥, it's crazy just get it.

Some worms were kicking my ass so I activated my wand of get-the-♥♥♥♥-out which takes several turns to charge, turned into a spooky ghost and walked into a wall for long enough to get away.

10/10 best thing I bought this whole Christmas sale and it wasn't even featured.

The hacking is complete horse crap, probably the worst that's ever been in any videogame ever.
Everything BUT the plot tanks into completely unenjoyable territory as soon as you reach Mars.
This game is an example of a huge amount of potential just turned to complete rubbish for who knows what reason.

That being said if you're a stubborn bastard like me who thinks the setting seems cool it's worth a buy, but a normal human being is going to hate this game.

This game basically has it's ups and downs.

One moment you JUST CAN'T FIGURE OUT how to stop your sniper platform from wobbling or why your dang'ol tank keeps flipping, and the next all the pieces have just come together and you've got a working AC130 that just mows through enemies. One match you wheel your little cart of guns out to the middle of the map and someone with a rail gun oneshots you from spawn, another you're ducking and weaving, completely confounding several players who JUST CAN'T HIT YOU and you get 6 kills and an Oscar.

It's nothing like Minecraft though. It's "Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts" meets the vehicular combat and terrain-style of Planetside (with a World of tanks tier-system).

It's also free.

I got it for free. The faeries are SUPER cute but you only see them in slide-show cutscenes and most of the time they look like navi.

It's also just solitarie for casuals.
