This game is not Salt and Sanctuary 2. It doesn't even feel like a game made by the same creators. They took a good formula for a fun game and tried to turn it into an MMO evidently, because that's what this game feels like. Sacrifice isn't a soulslike, it's a grindy mess that doesn't seem like it knows what it wants to be, lazily reused mage bosses, and removed multiple features from Sanctuary that made the gameplay feel smooth. The world is no longer interconnected and now operates on a fast travel system that just feels lazy. Multiplayer is pushed way more in this game than Sanctuary, and considering how small this game is, I spent 20 minutes trying to invade one person and eventually gave up.

If you wanted Salt and Sanctuary 2, don't waste your money

i have had this game open on my pc for 1800 minutes now and i can't close it (i could have closed it any time i wanted) you're forced to learn a whole coding language that was developed for this game (it's completely optional to learn and even a basic understanding is enough to automate AND it's fun to learn anyway) this game is way too grindy (it's the perfect idle game) i hate it (no i don't i love it) <3

Great game, lot of racists tho

One of the best games that Devolver has ever published. The soundtrack bangs, the story is fun, the combat is fluid, the base building isn't frustrating like some games, and just enough challenge to keep one engaged. Some bugs that can be bothersome. 9/10
