Overall I like this game. The characters and the soundtrack were all on point. The slice of life moments with the core little busters gang were really the high point of the game for me. The common route was fantastic, and so were the other arching routes though two of them were kinda boring and personally felt disengaged trying to complete them. I didn't expect to enjoy the dramatic sections like with other key works, but they were actually fairly well written here. The final route "refrain" was just absolutely phenomenal, but you have to finish 6 different arching routes first which might be a hit or a miss depending on the person. The steam version of the game includes extra routes too which I've highly enjoyed and you shouldn't miss them out if you're planning to get the game from this store. If you're a fan of visual novels or even key anime in general then little busters is an absolute must play (imo)

Unfortunately there are a lot of fundamental flaws in this game which becomes more apparent at an advanced level

1. Dexterity for starters does nothing. In fact, most pros argue that you should just use the stance that takes 1 point off dex. In very rare cases having an additional dex grants you a new true combo, but most of the time it does nothing other than shave a point off str/def/speed
2. Passive play is rewarded, even at a higher level. The game makes it easy to punish being aggressive, there's no counterplay if you miss an attack unlike other fighting games. Sadly that's the current meta, even at a pro level you can observe passive players
3. Unbalanced legends. Newer ones are broken with unique sigs compared to former legends. For instance, currently the latest legend seven has a true sig combo even at a 2 dex stance. The one before him has a broken sig with massive coverage as well. Might be a deliberate move from BMG to get people to play them, but still they're ruining competitive play
4. Lack of updates. Seems like the direction of the game is geared toward pumping cosmetics and battle passes instead of innovating the game. The UI, maps, music, gameplay, have been the same for years. The fact they restricted modding after adding easy anti cheat is also a bummer

I still think this is a decent game and you can have loads of fun at a party level. This review is mainly aimed at the ones who want to try this game competitively or have already invested many hours into it. I'm aware issues like stance and countering passive play might require a complete overhaul to game mechanics, but still these problems should be addressed by the devs instead of releasing an endless stream of overpriced crossovers and pretending everything is fine

Really cute art, great background music, lighthearted yet engaging story, honestly really loved the concept of people competing against each other using futuristic flying shoes and it was executed really well despite how silly it might sound, each match had me at the edge of my seat and the graphics used was very helpful at demonstrating how the matches progressed. The cast was really strong too and you should play all routes to fully experience what this game has to offer. Highly recommend this VN to anyone looking for something cute and well written to read
