So... Frontier, what's up?

I've been a massive lover of theme park tycoon games since RCT1, but while I recommend this, there is so so so so soooooo much that's iffy.

The pros:
- Waterparks! Who doesn't love getting wet, and the detail does enable something absolutely fabulous.
- The optimisation efforts. Generally I've actually had better performance with so much on the map than Planet Coaster 1, somehow...
- The slight increase in graphical fidelity. Better graphics = Better game, obviously... Right?

The mixed bag:
- Paths... What was someone smoking here? just having a 'fill' function, the ability for there not to be constant unnecessary snapping, and so many QOL details have simply been missing here. In some ways it upgrades the abilities of before, but in others it just makes life imperviously difficult still. Literally copy Cities:Skylines on this, simples.
- Ride scenery. The rating seems to barely work and so much has been omitted from the first game. They could have easily ported over the assets from PC1 to PC2, surely? As someone who works in the gaming industry, it just doesn't make sense and if it becomes DLC I'll be a very grumpy man...

The bin:
- UI????? If there was a mouse/keyboard mode compared to a controller mode with condensed UI in a smaller scale, there would be 0 complaints. The amount of detail is amazing for those who enjoy getting into the nitty-gritty of things, but that it whams on my screen is beyond comprehension. Truly a silly sausage decision.
- So many QOL systems from PC1 has just disappeared entirely from PC2, from the detailing options, to how snapping works, to the UI as mentioned above, etc. I literally notice something new that bugs me every time I play.

Overall, PC2 isn't a bad game. Far from it. If you enjoy the wet side of theme parks with further graphical options than before, then buy it, but if you already have every DLC from PC1 and you don't care about waterparks... Wait until a year has passed, get on sale, and you're golden.

But for the love of Chris Sawyer... Frontier, plz fix.

This game is rather intriguing, considering the fact that I personally am trying to acquire parts for building a computer myself. Whilst the pricing on certain things within this game are vastly incorrect, I would still recommend it to those wanting to learn how to build a PC.

This game is pretty much a customisable battlefield with good AI. Buy it.

A good game to play with friends, if you have them...
