Let's get down to the semi-bias. I absolutely adored this game, especially having played Risk of Rain 1 years prior and loving the rogue-like platform style of that with it's very lovable characters. Playing the Beta and watching as this game had built up and somehow managed to do even better than the first game is astounding. The hard work, love, and care that went into making this sequel is incredible. The developers care about their fans and have shown that by bringing back some of our favourite characters, and giving us the opportunity to choose what we wanted to be in the final build of the game.

Now we get to the gameplay review. The gameplay is very fun and a massive improvement over the first game. The return of older items, as well as newer ones that work well with the 3D environment. The enemies and characters having still kept their charm from the first game, but now contain abilities that play well with the new playstyle as well as some interchangeable ones that are unlocked by proving your worth with the character. The gameplay is fluid and does really allow for two sides of the player spectrum to play as they please. You could try and speed run the game to defeat the final boss in as little time as you can to keep the difficulty low, or you could just keep infinitely going until you die. Both are fun options and the builds that you can make out of the random items are fantastic. Especially if one acquires game changing artifacts to spice up the play. However, when you get so far, sometimes the game can become mundane. Fret not though, as the developers fully support modding! They have channels in their Discord where they help people set up mods so that they can spice up their game, in which case the community has made many good mods that include new enemies, difficulties, characters, abilities, and skins!

So what is my overally review? The game is absolutely fantastic and I believe it was worth every penny and hour I spent and continue to spend on it.

To be honest, when I first saw the trailers for this game, I was really excited to play it back then. Problem was I didn't have the money to buy it and when I played it a couple weeks ago, I was instantly in love. It combined two really interesting things, Zero-G and Class based battles. I really enjoyed the seemless transition between the different types of play, as well as the cameo by Justin Roiland, the voice actor for Rick and Morty, as the little ball. All the characters had very unique abilities and play styles that helped to balance out the game. I am honestly very upset that the game will be going down in September, and if there was someway we could all vote to keep it up I would definitely do so and pay money for this game.

Amazingly addictive game! I loved just plugging in a remote and sitting back to have an 8-bit shootout with my friends in the most rediculous costumes and maps. Truly a great game if you're looking to have a great time, worth every penny!

This game is something that I believe all the SCP fans have been waiting for. SCP:SL is a very fun and intense game that captures the glory of the original Containment Breach, while still bringing some new aspects to the table. For being a free game, it has a lot to offer. A bit of advice I would like to mention though is that perhaps to spice things up, the developers should try to add random map generation to spice things up like the original and maybe make the facility slightly bigger. Other than that, it's a terrifyingly fun experience for all players!

I have game for about a year now, and honestly it's a game! Yes it has some things that need to be worked on, such as new gamemodes like hide and seek, more objectives, etc., but every game has it's downs. Despite these downs, the gameplay is fun, addictive, sadistic, and rewarding. You can play as survivor and either help your fellow teammates to survive, or play as a survivor who is a lone wolf and use others as bait. Alternatively, you can be the killer and live out your goriest nightmares, with you behind the mask. Being killer is a lot harder than being survivor nowadays, but it is still a fun experience. Especially when you get that sweet revenge on the survivor who's been trolling you the entire game. This game is not pay to win at all because if you buy DLC characters, you just get the chance to use bloodpoints to get new perks, where if you don't buy DLC, you can still get said perks using in-game currency. Speaking of DLC, most of the characters are non-DLC and are part of an ever expanding roster of killers and survivors. Long story short, this game is worth the purchase.
