Better while in Early Access than new Tripple A studio games. And beats Palworld by a lot.

Best money spent in a while.

First of all - I play Stronghold since I`m 5 years old (now I`m an old geezer lol) and to this day, I was only disappinted with Stronghold 3. Also, to understand my review a bit better, my personal favourites of the series are Stronghold 2, followed by Legends and Stronghold 1. Now you know that I`m not a blind 2D hardcore fan. ^^

But, let`s start with Warlords:

After 8.4h of playing, I only had 1 crash after a campaign mission and found 2 minimal bugs to the game. Not gamechanging at all, just some small things.
But! There is one thing that really was sad to notice: The unit limit. We were 2 players left and each of us could only make up to 200 - on a big map. That is really sad. Most of the time, you didn`t even have a high number of frontline without siege equipment and BAMM - max units.
- Solution: Very easy - just double the number and all are happy. With only 4 human players max, this shouldn`t be a problem for the servers in 2021.
Another small thing: Not that many maps available on release.

But now, the positive things:

The game plays really good! I played these 8.4h without a break and wasn`t really tired of it - just got hungry lol. The graphics are not on 2021 standard, but it has it`s own fitting charm for a Stronghold game! Not every game needs insane graphics to be successfull, you just need good gameplay which this game totally has!
The price? Almost irrelevant. Totally fitting price (would`ve payed the double amount and it would still be ok for me).
And then there`s the music.. one word: beautiful.

Long story short: If you are a long time fan like me of the series, really give this game a chance. Don`t judge after 1h of playing (like some other bland reviews). Dive in and enjoy - you won`t regret it.

Most underrated RTS Game ever. It makes so much fun to learn this game even though it`s hard to master. Graphics are amazing, the story is amazing and the whole concept of the game is amazing. Even though DLC clans exist, they are definitely not stronger than the standard ones - so no Pay 2 Win here. If you like a fun, nice looking RTS game, give this one a try, definitely worth it.
