Personally love this game. It's got a lot to do, and it's even better with friends, super mod friendly, and updates are still coming!

This is a classic in the same line as Dungeon Keeper. Hits that classic James Bond/Austin Powers feel and could really use a remake that wasn't aimed at mobile gaming.

Do yourself a favor and play a little gaming history.

*Resolution changes tend to crash the game for me, I just play it on default since bumping it up doesn't improve much on modern monitors*

This is the best city building sim out there. It's not 100% perfect, but it reaches ever closer than anything else right now.

Only a fraction of what was promised, and with a horrible launch that killed the game. Servers are pretty dead, though you can play with bots.

Avoid this and play Dirty Bomb instead. (Same developers)

Story seemed a bit dull, gameplay not up to par. Graphics are not bad for the price you get this game at. There are better titles in the same price bracket, get this if you literally have nothing else to play.

I think this was my second game on steam ever! I got an Invader Zim vibe from it a tiny bit. If you enjoy this kind of game, it does the job with enough polish and style that it's worth being in your library.

You can complete it in less than 8 hours easily.

Apology accepted!

The game itself is wonderful and I definitely recommend you give it a try! The free to play aspect is fine, whatever you might hear. Anyone complaining about pay to win is exaggerating or probably just butthurt from the random aspect. The game plays mechanically like a fusion of TF2 and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (which is a plus for me). Movement feels smooth, objectives are easy to distinguish, and the gameplay is fast and fun. Everything overall is polished and set to a high standard.

Currently, the store portion works a little like a fusion of League of Legends and a Trading Card Game. You start the game with two free characters with three more on a free rotation. I saved and bought my first character with in game currency fairly quick. You "equip" three different characters before you enter a game; you cannot change these characters during a match.

The trading card portion is how you upgrade the abilities and bling of your characters. You have little control over what kind of cards you get. The basic level cards are not as strong as bronze level (a lower-mid level card) but after bronze, all card changes are only cosmetic. Card cases are given to you every handful of matches randomly, or you can purchase them with 1000 in-game credits. The aspect of control you get for this is that you can combine low level cards into a higher level card. You CAN choose which character this card is for. It's a slow, but free, system.

Now for the bad part of the game. The only party system to play with my friends I found in competitive mode. I could easily join my friends game, but I'm almost always thrown on the other team. It's fun to shoot my friends especially, but only for so long. The ranked competitive mode allows you to invite friends into a party, but it's not in the whole game. Also, the system for automatching in non-competitive mode games often throws me into an empty server even if there are plenty of servers with space on them if I manually search. And lastly, hackers are a bit of a problem in competitive mode, they love to hop in a troll obviously hacking to ruin your matches, often abandoning 3-4 minutes in.

TL:DR
I enjoy this game a lot, I don't play it for unlocking characters or the card system. It can be fun enough with the free characters and the unlocking aspect comes eventually.
