I still think Dragon's Dogma is one of the best character creators out there. My blind was blown with 1, and 2 continues to impress me with its wide variety of possibilities. You can make absolute horrors, or some very good looking characters without even needing to be an expert in modeling. The options are so easy to use, and give you a ton of freedom.

However, its so close to being perfect I have to give it a thumbs down in hopes devs might see this critique and correct them.
The biggest complaint I have is the height limit of 160. I'm shorter than 160 IRL, as are nearly 40% of women in the world. Its really fun to create goblins, dwarves, or children, and as long as you can handle the last bit without being a creep, its fine.
Skin and hair colors are also sadly limited, to which I can only fear they'll be released behind MTX or DLC. Honestly, even if they were locked behind completion I'd still be in disagreement, I just like full creativity and want to be my blue haired twitter girl off the bat.
Tattoos are bloody amazing, but the fact you can't place them on your shoulders, hands, or feet is really meh. They're so close to being amazing, but when my scars fade away as they go over my shoulder, it can really dampen the experience.
Finally, hair styles and voices are very limited, although I can understand this would not be an easy fix. In DD1, we had 2 voices for each gender and a bunch of badly pitched alternatives. Here, its 4 voices with more reasonable pitches.

If these four issues were correct by the time of release, I'll be happy with calling this a perfect character creator.

This game deserves way better. It was pushed out the door to compete with Skyrim, but that didn't stop the combat, character designer, or the unique climbing system from being the best I've ever seen.
Everyone should play this game just to experience what more modern RPGs are missing out on.

Halo is one of the best games of all time. Finally, we have a PC port. Can't wait for the modding scene to get good.

It's bloody oblivion, game of the year. Get mods, try out Wabbajack to autoinstall them for you.

Pros: Nice music and atmosphere

Cons: Controls are terrible and barely work, it's obvious this was a port
The voicing acting is some of the worst
The dialogue is terribad, it's like an arcade game trying to be edgy

I dunno what all the hype was about, it was above average at best. Also, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate performers, and this one was beyond difficult for me. Turning on easy didn't really do anything since the main issue I had was actually platforming, not combat.

But, the graphics were amazing for an Indy game, I'll give it that. I'd even throw in the token term "stunning." Gameplay was also noteworthy, combat was kinda fun how they mixed it with platforming, and while the latter was very hard (1100 deaths in the 12.5 hours it took to beat it at 97% completion), there's a lot of godsend things that kept frustration down.
The story was pretty basic with a little underlying depth, nothing amazing, but it was presented very well. The music is on par, but nothing I'd listen to outside of the game. Overall, it's a solid game, with everything at least above average for features (and not just for an Indy games).
