I will preface this by saying that the game was quite a fun ride for about 85% of the way through; the movement is slick and fun, wallrunning feels natural and precise, the slide could be a teensy bit longer (but it's serviceable as is), the gunplay is visceral and frenetic; every gun has it's place in the arsenal, and once you understand the role of everything, it flows very well, and creates a strong power fantasy when it clicks into place.
And the music, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MUSIC. Every piece is blood-pumping and fits the mood and aesthetics of each level, as well as being outstanding industrial tracks on their own.
Enemies are fun to fight, and offer lots of cool interactions and ways of defeating them, ala Doom Eternal (certain weapons being more effective than others). Rushdown enemies keep you on your toes, while anything bigger than your normal goon will require the latter half of your arsenal to deal with. Again, the combat flow, mixed with how the arena design takes wallrunning into account makes for an experience that the market doesn't exactly have at the moment.
The bosses are fine. I don't have anything really to say about them other than they are perfectly servicable.
This review was originally negative, but they have since fixed the ear shattering bug, so I can now wholly recommend the game :)

EPG is still the best gun in the game, if you think otherwise you are a poopnose

Only game where I will always stop to watch napalm be draped across a jungle because it looks and sound incredible.

Thicc AF Doomgirl shoots cultists while solving puzzles and then shoots demons and solves puzzles to Deus Ex and Unreal music
9/10 only fault is that there's only 1 episode so far.

Game's jank af but it's still one of the best shooters of the 2000s. Play if you want the best shotgun in video game history and watching clones be exploded John Woo style.

I beat The Destroyer in under 2 minutes because this game is broken and unbalanced as ♥♥♥♥.
7/10 it's alright

If you like a gripping, personal and emotional tale of regret, opportunity and dogs in hawaiian shirts, this game is definitely for you
as a visual novel, the aesthetic of the game in truly unique; drawing on old japanese visual novel styles while also placing it in a dystopian future of technological marvels and horrifying wars, this game is a cut above the rest in how it looks
gameplay wise... it's a visual novel. you play as a bartender and that's what you do; tend the table at the Va-11 Hall-A bar in the experimental Glitch City.
but, the story isn't a clear path, like in most VN, as the story will alter and change with the drinks that you serve your customers.

the best part about this game is definitely the wide variety of faces that you come across during the game. a professional cyborg bounty hunter, a robot adult worker in the body of a 13 year old girl, and an aging private detective and more are within this game.
