Fallout: New Vegas is a perfect marriage between the run-n-shoot-n-loot gameplay of Fallout 3 and the dark, gruesome backdrop of Fallout 2 and the dashing of RPG elements straight from the first Fallout entry - that truly make a playthrough or character totally new in some way or another. While this helps keep the game fresh, it's so solidly written and executed that every branch and avenue is equally as appealing, and can really force you to make some tough choices that'll leave a real impact on the people around you, via the enhanced Faction and Karma system.
The Combat is still hum-drum at best and jank at worst, but it's easy to get used to. The issue's mostly being the fact that due to Fallout: New Vegas using an already worn engine that was intended for a fantasy game - guns feel as though they're Staffs that just spawn bullets - sort of like some weird Oblivion mod.
But that's not what Fallout is known for - Fallout is known for being a dark, adult, gruesome post apocylpse western that gives everyone a unique experience in some way.
Not to mention the sheer amount of memorable quests and an ending that makes you truly feel like you made a mark on a the contest wasteland that is The Mojave.

Coatailing off that - the Faction system as I had mentioned was expanded, know the three ending Factions vying for your attention are all equally interesting and enjoyable in their own unique way. Personally I preferred a 'no-holds barred' take over of New Vegas, and uniting the Mojave under my leadership to drive out Ceasers Legion. As far as I can tell - this is the preferred mode of playing, but each have their own twists on the formula. For example - the Legion will be attempting to cripple each of the other Factions via subterfuge and sabotge, and depending on your build you'll either find these as simple and straightforward as assassinating the current President of the NCR, or via attacking the NCRs infurstructure by destroying a monorail used for transport and resupply between their Camp and into the Strip itself.
And their are other small Factions that can be conversed with or joined in some form (or destroyed and annhilated).
Simply put, the quests are what make this game - but the systems around the interactions between them and the karma are what make that WHOLE smattering a great game gumbo.

The biggest hallmark the game has for me personally is the combination of factors allowing you to seriously play a unique character EACH playthrough, but each interaction between the Factions and that Main Questline are just FANTASTIC, and the impact is long-lasting so that only enhances the connection between you and the game - something that really gets you totally immersed, and making this the fan favorite over Fallout 3 due to how - at least to me - Fallout 3 was a more desolate and empty feeling game, lacking in a lot life. It may be the post apocolypse but the concept wasn't as 'tamed' as it was in Fallout: New Vegas simply put.
Now that's a box quote for ya.

Now I'm gonna ruffle some feathers and admit that I found the DLC to be quite boring. Dead Money and Lonesome Roads felt like extended dungeon crawls with a lot of irritatingly overpowered enemies - although in Lonesome Roads defense it did extend the story massively and gave our characters a lot of depth Dead Money felt like a re-run of a dungeon we already PLAYED with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ condition on - the bomb collar. This HARSH mark is what easily makes this my least favorite expansion, which is a shame because the world building and setting is FANTASTICLY desolate and gruesome. I just feel like I can't enjoy it at my own pace due to constantly being on the look out for buzzers and trying not to get my head blown off cause I couldn't shoot the McGuffin. Honest Hearts was just, really forgettable plain and simple, and Old World Blues felt like a challenge gambit with crappy loot. Although I will admit some of the writing is hilarious and the premise is good, but the exeuction is just, terrible. Portal this ain't.
I understand these are the hooks or twist to make them memorable, but I found them more irritating overall.

But the CORE of this game is so SOLID that it's truly one of those modern classics, those dimonds that never got roughed up, and easily my favorite game in the series.
Now Bethesda, how bout lettin these folks take a crack at it again huh?

Tachyon is a game that, despite it's quality I've never seen much note of - espiecally in it's origin genre. We all know Elite, and Wing Commander and the X-Wing and TIE-Fighter games and of course Freespace but what about Tachyon?
I've almost never seen this game outside of a select few videos on YouTube and maybe a sole IGN review and much less any forum or commentary on it. In the grand scheme of Space Flight Sims I'd say Tachyon is honestly one of the most underappreciated of it's kind given it's charm, it's atmosphere and the tight arcadey gameplay. It's not open world like some of it's more noteworthy breatheren and is pretty linear but you do get to pick a side in the after you arrive, which will probably warrant another playthrough for some. Plus, YOU PLAY AS BRUCE CAMPBELL. Like, NO OTHER game will attain that sort of badassary.

Not to mention it has one of the tightest stories in a game. You play as Jake Logan, a merc - as you struggle to survive in the Fringe after being framed for a crime he never commit. The Fringe is a far-flung exile zone far outside the known reaches of space. The Fringe is dominated by madmen, lunatics, pirates and MegaCorps. It's a simple story premise for what'll be a pretty average game, or what would've been average had the mission variey not KICKED so much ASS. Seriously, there's a segment in the game where you take on a side-quest with two literal space cowboys as they patrol the New Vegas (not that one) sector, all complete with cliches and overacted comical accents, only accentuated by Bruce Campbell haming it up as well.
Not to mention the pretty killer introduction mission that explains why you ended up in the Fringe in the first place is also one of the most memorable missions in any game for me personally. I remember being totally taken my surprise and totally invested when I played the demo for the first time back in the early 2000s.
Of course you've also got your patrols and other standard mission fights and more than enough capital ships to blast to spacedust to satisfy any pilot.
You'll also have a choice between a number of different Wingmen to bring along side on missions, all with semi-distinct and varying levels of ham in there personalities. Upon selecting them you'll get a small exchange between Jake and said chosen wingmen, usually with some hammy overacted cliched personality and something equally as dumb but funny said in the actual conversation to puncuate things.

While you don't have free-form exploration akin to Freespace you can zap between Systems and take on side missions and do various activities like gambling or checking out the local system news - or heading to the hanger to check out your ships, buy upgrades and arms for them or just generally to admire the ship design, which is also another plus. The two MegaCorps that serve as the two Factions ruling for control of The Fringe are open for your membership after you arrive and will dictate what ships you'll have access to and of course the story and missions will differ of course - obviously. You'll have choice between the professional and omnipitent GalSpan Corporation or the scrappy and revolting Bora, and each have various classes of ships that fit with an overaching aesthetic with the Bora using Mining Vessals and very utilitarian looking spacecraft and the GalSpan have an almost royal and high class look to their craft.

Beyond the simple buy enjoyably campy premise, the fact Bruce Campbell is what is essientally the condcutor on this whole journey, the tight dogfights and memorable and awesome missions - I really have to ask - why was this game entirely ignored?
Easily recommended to any pilot of any caliber weather your a seasoned Elite Commander or a DCS fan, hell to really anyone interested in a campy and hammy space opera.

A game so solid I broke my personal rule of needing to complete a game fully before reviewing it - It's THAT good.
Who knew the way to fix Sonic was to take it away from Sonic Team and give it to someone who understands the fundementals of what makes Sonic good.
No awkward 3D camera controls or fiddly movement, no overacted cartoonish and cliche melodrama, no 'too cool stay in school' overtones and garish (although somewhat enjoyable) Pop Punk, none of Sonics irritating annoying roomates to contend with - none of that. You get what amounts to a what is a greatest hits and remix album of the best of the 2D Sonic titles, with modern twists and enough "oh ♥♥♥♥ what the ♥♥♥♥ this is rad" moments to keep you going 'wow' and some completely new levels too.
The Sonic game we deserved during the Saturn era, better late than never.

I don't feel I need to go into major detail - it's a Sonic game, you run real fast, bob your head to some epic chiptunes, grab some rings and kick Robotniks (no I'm not saying Eggman, that name is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded) ass and nab some Chaos Emeralds - you know the score.
Beyond some technical inconsistencies with the controls (which were easily fixed with appling a Steam Controller config) - the game is nearly flawless in terms of technical specifics. The best part?
There's no awkward 3D movement, stilted laughably cringy dialoge that doesn't even reach the levels of an average cartoon in terms of quality (if you could even call it that), random Mary Sue characters, strange overacted melodrama or hamfisted "too cool but stay in school" attitudes or themes. It's simple, fast, and fun. Easily the best Sonic game in two decades.
The addition of a Time Attack and Competition mode is nice, although I dont' see myself playing it beyond just seeing what it's like - but extra frosting is extra frosting.
The only thing that would make Sonic Mania perfect is a level editor, although I'm grasping at straws but it really is a fact that this game is so stellar I can't really think of any downsides.

What boggles my mind is how a rom hacker and fan was able to achieve what Sonic Team hasn't been able to pull off sense the Saturn era, because what Sonic Mania is and accomplishes supercedes anything whatever incarnation of Sonic Team could've pulled off.
It seriously plays like an unreleased Sonic game, that's how GOOD it is.
Absolutely, 100% recommended to any platformer or Sonic fan.

H1Z1\King of the Kill is a trend chaser, not setter. It's generic, bland, totally replaceable and unsatisfying to play. out review on a game but, I'm not gonna put in more effort into that then the devs put into this game. So I'll keep it brief; the game itself? Nothing special. Totally generic and a trend chaser of a trend chaser.

On the basis that while this doesn't have the much detested building from Fortnite (personally I dig the buidling) many would think this to be a good middle ground between the other BR offerings, but the gameplay loop is probably worse.
Drop in, get geared within 4-5 minutes or you won't ever after that, get ran over and then play the most pathetic game of Twisted Metal ever in the final moments. It's not satisfying to play, there's no explosive crescendo of combat, no symphony of havoc - it simply pitters out to an unsatisfying and insulting finish. Like a dud Firecracker.

Don't. Stop. Do not pass go, Do not collect $5. Skip. Not recommend to anyone under any circumstance on the guise that Daybreak is not to be trusted. Stay far away.

Quake II is an intense aftershock, even two decades later.
(Full disclosure, I've been playing this game on and off sense I was a kid - so I'll attempt to keep rosetinted views at a minimum).

Quake II is a game that is pretty deeply ingrained into my taste as a gamer. I love fast and furious FPS games, I love frantic metal and techno soundtracks (and metal music full-stop) and I love the grimy dirty oppressive sci-fi backdrop to everything, the whole game is very much a callback to the violent power fantasies of Doom (the soundtrack is a hallmark evident of this) and a large departure from the bleak smothering and hopeless air to the original Quake, which many find to be a downside. Although to be straight forward, I prefer the sci-fi outings of Quake 2 over the Lovecraftian depths and deprecated infernal hallways of Quake 1, not to dssmiss it, as I enjoy that game as well, just not AS much as Quake II

Having played any of iD's previous offerings, or any 90s era FPS - you know the score. This time around you're a badass space marine hellbent on destroying the Strogg war machine by taking out the Big Gun, a planetary defense weapon capable of keeping the planet Stroggos totally impenetrable.
The intro cutscene shows you barreling towards the planets surface and ending up way off course and far away from your intended target, from then on out, you carve a bloody warpath to the Big Gun. Upon destroying it, you are then ordered to hunt down and elimate the Strogg leader, the Makron and upon doing so - save Humanity.
Pretty standard stuff, barrel chested walking death machine protaganist facing off against likewise towering antagonist and his armies of random mooks.

The gameplay comes to what you'd expect from a 90s FPS - you get a sci-fi tinged aresnal this time around to aid in blasting\fragging\liquifiying the new threat. Instead of Nail-Guns and Thunderbolts this time around - you're armed with Chainguns, Railguns and Hyperblasters and instead of decimating Eldritch horrors you're dispatching horrible amalgomations of flesh and metal - the Strogg. To put it plainly, the game is a sci-fi take on the original formula, calling from the original Quake - you know what to expect. The level design is a different take to the original, as opposed to singular episodes you have 'Units' that are essientally large levels seperated by 'airlock's with different objectives.
One level may involve you hunting down for a certain weapon, or obtaining a Commander's Head to access a new area, things of that nature, and it helps to puncuate the otherwise simple nature of the game and it's card-hunts, which the game still has, it strikes a good balance.

Beyond that, the game doesn't essientally bring a lot new to the table. Quake II is a take of the original formula and throwing into a sci-fi setting and giving it an equally fitting soundtrack to go along with it, which, like the Quake I Nine Inch Nails offering I find very much required to get the full effect.

The Multiplayer, as expected - is sublime - very much what one would expect from an iD FPS. Weapons have utility, maps all 'flow' and can almost be liked at like race tracks where a central path runs through it and side paths and 'shortcuts' adorn them to keep things fast and frantic. Nothing but positive experiences and nothing short of high recommendation in that regard. The only iffy point with this can be the player 'weight', in the original Quake you felt nearly weightless but here you feel like you've got a bit of stone to your step, which may turn others off, as the momentum needed to get to top speed is a bit of an issue for some. I personally don't mind it, although I felt like this was worth mentioning anyway. It's also still VERY MUCH alive, even 2 decades later.
Now THAT is some longevity, and is ABSOLUTE proof of the quality of the Multiplayer component.

Okay, with all that being said, Quake II on Steam is missing the soundtrack and is somewhat incompatabile with newer systems. Simply download Yamagi Quake 2, download the soundtrack and throw it in the install directory and your good to go. Check the Steam Guides on this to get some more details, but it really is as simple as drag and drop.
Quake II also had two Mission Packs released for it, and without going into detail on those - I enjoy them (The Reckoning anyway, I haven't completed it as of the writing of this review) but I have completed Ground Zero and it is a frustrating messy smattering of spaghetti level design and an all around unfun experience. If inclined, these have problems running on new systems but are easily fixed with a launch option edit, but it won't track playtime for the specific Mission Packs as it'll be ran IN Quake 2 as opposed to it's own client. I was very annoyed upon finding that THIS is the ONLY solution to playing them otherwise, I would've reviewed the Mission Packs on their own but, whatever.

Yeah, 100% recommended. Both to the FPS fan of yore and the FPS fan of now.

One of the greatest - no - THE greatest.

Doom II is admittedly more expansion than it is sequel, but I (and many others) wouldn't have had it any other way. New content like a handful of new monsters and a single new weapon - the Super Shotgun - but less is truly more as the levels and the gameplay itself are polished to a mirror shine and is more than enough to satisfy. You can really tell that the guys at ID were getting good at what they do in this installment, the levels are so memorable, fun and abstract enough to make them feel unique and a bit strange particuarly the ones on Earth and the early levels in Hell.

It's just you, 32 levels of pissed off Demons in varied Space Stations, City Blocks and in Hell itself, 10 weapons (and a new one, the aformentioned Super Shotgun) and 'totally not' MIDI Metallica, Alice in Chains and Pantera blasting throughout.
Count em, 32 new levels to blast through, 7 new monsters to splatter (not including the ones only present in the secret levels then that would make 9 or the final boss technically making 10) and a single new weapon and WHAT a weapon IT IS.
One stock of treated maple and two barrels of metal piloted by one pissed off space marine - the Super Shotgun.

There is honestly nothing else I can say, the game is absolute perfection. The levels are great fun and abstract as hell, the assortment of weapons are all a joy to use and the Demons themsevles put up just enough of a challenge to keep even the most seasoned FPS fan on their toes. At the asking price of $5 it's an absolute non-question I WHOLEHEARTEDLY recommend this title. Between the crafted to perfection shooting, the abstract and memorable levels and the mightily metallic soundtrack by Robert Prince - there is just so much to love about this game.
Oh and not to mention the modding community has kept this game living way passed it's otherwise expected shelflife making the game near immortal, truly a gift that keeps on giving with the thousands of WADs, Megawads, Total Conversions and other mods available. Doom II is a game that is truly timless. If you haven't played before, I cannot recommend it enough.

With that being said, the DOSBox configuration that Steam has packaged with this is rubbish, download a Source Port like gzDoom or Zandronum and that will easily remedy that issue and add features like jumping and mouse aimming and higher resolution options.

UPDATE: As of 1\23\2018 Facepunch has announced that the game will be leaving Early Access on the 8th of Feburary, not only this but the price is increasing from $20 to $35.
On these grounds I'm changing this from a 'recommended for fans' to 'not recommend in any circumstance'.
The fact of the matter is - this game is still lacking a lot of direction and content and the game is only so-so of what a full product should at least be presented as. Not only this, but considering the lack of optimizations proves that this is still a rough product if "product" can even be used in it's full definition. The blog post states "Don't think of this as us claiming that the game is done. Think of this as us saying that if Early Access didn't exist we'd have released the game on Steam by now.
We're going to keep updating and improving the game" which to me reads as "oh we used Early Access to hop on the survival game money train, but we REALLY wanna finish and make this game good we SWEAR", it feels so .. dishonest.
I'll leave this as my parting statement - Early Access is not a guarantee, it's not a guarantee that the game will be finished, will be fun, will be stable or that it'll remain on the lively (if it's a Multiplayer centric title). The fact here is that Early Access is a minefield, you get games like Kerbal Space Program and Don't Starve that I feel became better through Early Access and then what they may have been otherwise or you get H1Z1 or Rust or (worse) DayZ). What is happening here is the game is "leaving Early Access" nothing is being change to mark this occassion, the price is now DOUBLED, but Facepunch still says "oh but we're still working on it". I find this to be a little is dishonest and pretty insulting. On these grounds I cannot recommend the game, and if you need a better excuse take the fact that it's going to be $35 as of the 8th of Feburary and most people would tell you to wait for a sale anyway. Sure It'll go on sale, for the original price which wasn't worth it to begin with, but I digress. If you STILL want to buy in, my points still stand - but take heed - this is a slippery slope.

==========================================================================

A ruthless and intense experience that will leave those seeking out another world to tame quite satisfied.

To fans of the Survival genre I see little that would turn you away from Rust (although if you ask my honest opinion none of these games differ from one another on drastic levels, just "Pizzas with different toppings" to use a food analogy - that is - one game may have a certain way it requires you to procure resources or the gunplay is different). You've got all the raiding and base building and back and forth fights that any fan of the genre could ask for, and is a worthy addtiton to your library just on those merits.

With that being said, like other survival games, It requires a large time investment to learn the ins-and-outs and the ebs-and-flows of gunplay, base building and even a bit of intuition to pick up on how players act and how to properly approach a given situation, which is honestly something I love. The problem is that these moments are very few and far between in my experience with a lot of instances coming down to getting shot off screen by someone you couldn't see or someone simply clubbing\shooting\stabbing\blowing you up without much warning, the game is incredibly unpredictable which will be a solid pro for others but a pretty solid con from myself.
I can also see the time investment being an issue for those just getting INTO the game or those trying to apply themselves to a new Survival title like Rust.
Another issue becomes apparent when you find that the large portion of the community is toxic and incredibly unwelcoming, although a game of this nature is to be expected, the game is the most fun when you're the most ruthless, although that can bleed over into grief and toxicity that is in a lot of instances unwarranted.
Not to mention the optimization is hit and miss, I personally had a lot of issues with glitchy graphics, crashes, and low framerates, I don't think I ever saw my framerate stay above 60 for long during my time in the game.

To fans of the Survival genre - this is a worthwhile addition to your library, it's got all the raids and intense 'by the seat of your pants' gunfights that one could ask for.

To those looking to get INTO Survival games - keep this in mind: the game has a bit of a learning curve and the community can be unwelcoming and toxic.
For a while you might find the game to be incredibly unfillfilling as you play the game, to those not versed in Survival games - keep that refund button handy. If you feel as though you simply won't get into it even with more hours put in, It may be a better idea to get off the ride and ask for a refund.

I see the merit in Survival games, I simply don't enjoy them at all, but giving Rust credit this is the best offering for the still in the oven genre, and as such I recommend it over many of it's peers.
As a general rule of thumb I recommend you exercise some patience and wait for a sale even IF you're a fan of the genre, and doubly so to those that aren't into the genre.

Voodoo Vince has a LOT to like. Between the inventive and creative nature of the levels, the kickass music that's still stuck in my head a literal decade plus later and the solid albiet plain platforming, they're is something for any platformer fan to dig.

I still clearly remember renting this game at the local Blockbuster (remember those?) back in the early 2000s (the specific year alludes me). I remember feeling somewhat excited and cautious as the cursory glance and study at the box art didn't convey a lot of what the game was to be like (look I was like 5 or 6). I quickly arrived home, sat down in front of the TV and loaded up the game.
The rest was history.

Let me just be point blank and say that this is one of my favorite games ever, and allow me to try to explain why. While Voodoo Vince doesn't have the depth and complexity that Super Mario 64 has in it's movement (or Mario's amazingly effective star power) or the memorable characters and noteworthy music that Sonic Adventure or the charm and appeal that the Sly, Rachet and Clank and Jak and Daxter all had - what Voodoo Vince DOES have is a cajun flavored Soundtrack (and holds one of my favorite pieces of music from any game ever, sadly, removed and replaced in this remaster that being the tune of Earth Water and Wood) a truly one-of-a-kind world and tons of memorable environments and it can be beaten in a weekend at the most.

I will be frank though, and speaking through my "rose-tintedness" I would recommend that those not looking for a nostalgia fix may want to wait for a sale due to the shortness and admittedly simple game design, as any seasoned platformer fan will find Voodoo Vince falling flat (on his face).
If you ARE Nostalgically inclined, you probably have bought the game anyway, but to those that hadn't yet the game is ported over in 60FPS and has a 1080 makeover and plays amazingly. I was able to complete the game, 100% achievements and all with the standard Keyboard and Mouse layout with little issue, although you may be inclinded to use a Gamepad and honestly this can do nothing but benefit the experience for you. Don't take my experience as law, as I have seen on the forums that some have found the game to be buggy, glitchy or more than a little crash prone, so buyer beware regardless.

I can absolutely recommend Voodoo Vince to those who wish to replay it, or to those wishing to play it maybe for the first time, under the guise of a sale.
Now if only we could get Voodoo Vince 2.

For those seeking to find something with a bit more depth then the current FPS offerings or to those that wanna just feel like a badass - inquire within, cause Rainbow Six: Siege is a badass experience everytime I pick it up, win OR lose. The learning curve is gradual, the microtransactions are fair, the grind is manageable and the support is alive and well. Ubisoft has surprised me with both the given support and the ENORMOUS comeback the game has undergone. One of the finest tactical shooters in recent memory, only superceded by it's predecessor. Truly one of a kind.

Before I start to ramble in depth about how much I enjoy Rainbow Six: Siege let me preface It with this - DO NOT BUY STARTER EDITION. If you find yourself interested in buying the game and wish to save a few bucks, wait for a sale on the standard edition as the Starter Edition will extend the already respectable grind to an unreasonable degree.

Rainbow Six: Siege took me absolutely by surprise. The launch trailers left me feeling sour, a Multiplayer-centric sequel to a predominately Single-Player tactical FPS? Suffice to say, I was ready to relegate this as another medicore multiplayer shooter.
Oh, oh how wrong I was. At least at first, the game had a lot of issues at launch related to stability and overall depth in the gameplay, but the game has improved massively sense then and has seen a regimented release of content and support, the game is almost completely different to it's launch state, although being honest there are a few moments in games I've played that have made me do a double take. Server quality is not incredible, hitreg issues are possible and lots of ping differences can occur and in my experience have and is probably the single mark I'd put against the game.

Matches follow a sort of Rock-Paper-Scissors approach to Operator setups and how the match will play out, making the game easy to play but incredibly difficult to master, which keeps me playing. There are always new strategys to try with the release of new Operators or with new setups weather or not they adhere to a meta and in that case you'll always get matches that play out differently from one another where it's much maligned second choice CSGO falls flat where the matches almost play like Chess as opposed to Rock-Paper-Scissors, you get a good idea of how things are gonna play out. The Operators themselves all serve various roles and playstyles and there is more than enough to satisfy the Tactican or Commando. On top of this, the DLC Operators themselves don't essientally replace or change the meta to a point that the original Operators become useless, so you'll always have a certain Operator from the base game to choose to keep things in order and contribute to the team effort, Ubisoft in this regard has done amazingly to not make some Operators totally obselete, along with the low Renown (in-game grindable currency) cost to get them you'll be able to stay competative even if you can't get Blackbeard or Hibana or whoever.

Eventually, as you improve - the game becomes more Chess-like where in you'll know what Operators to pick on what maps, how to play them and how to synergize with your team giving a really noticeable feeling of improvement and satisfaction as you put time into the game. This works great to balance out the frustration of the first few hours of learning how to fight, where to fight and how to approach Objectives with the various Operators. The learning curve is steep but gradual and not overwhelming.

I've also noticed in my time playing that the community is incredibly welcoming and non-toxic, I've had tons of games where people are cooperative and sportsmanlike in loss and humble in victory, it's a very welcoming change as opposed to other titles.
On top of this Ubisoft has continued to support the game with new four new Seasons yearly signified by an Operation that usually is acommpanied by new Operators, a new map and a 'Mid-Season Reinforcement' that is used to tweak the balance and address community concerns later on.

Rainbow Six is a game that, barring my low-spec hardware, I can see myself playing for many many years given the consistant updates and support not to mention how tense and satisfying matches are and how rewarding wins can be on top of it.
It's one of those games where even when I lose I still have fun knowing that there was something in the game I could learn from to apply to the next match. Not to mention how satisfying each Operator is to play, and how badass you'll feel when a strategy comes togther to secure a win.
Satisfying, Tactical and Tense - in three words - is Siege.

I cannot recommend this game enough for those seeking a tactical FPS.
Ubisoft has made me a fan and supporter and I will continue to support this game for as long as they continue to release maps and Operators.

H1Z1\Just Survie is a trend chaser - and a bad one at that. All the hallmarks on how NOT to do Early Access. Buggy, glitch ridden, horrid support and an without any sort of polish or optimization what so ever. Throw on a boring, unsatisfying and irritating gameplay loop and you've got one of my least recommended games in recent years.
Daybreak has shown many many MANY times that they refuse to listen to their community and have been constantly soiling the goodwill they could've otherwise had and lost the chance to grow this game into a juggernaut. They simply REFUSE to listen to the already split community or try to win them back by fixing agregious issues that have still be standing in the game sense its' debut in Early Access. It's got all the hallmarks - horrid optimization, lack of meaningful updates, lack of communication between dev and community, nonexistant Support (had a friend get banned for simply having mods open for a different ENTIRELY SEPERATE GAME. With an otherwise entirely clean record he was given bolierplate responses and silence, even IF he had the intent to hack, where is it's Daybreaks job to assume on behalf of the player. His ban remains in place), a toxic split atmosphere leave H1Z1\Just Survive another decaying Zombie languishing on the storefront. Not to mention the lack of definite direction for the game (Stronghold update, the constant back and forth between PvE or PvP, and total silence by Daybreak for way longer than would honestly be neccessary).
Regardless if the game quality is above a certain standard is beyond the point, is it fun? It can be, honestly it can but none of this matters when the game is in such a broken, unfillfilling state and so overun with cheaters.

Don't bother. Don't spend your hard earned cash on this, for any other reason then Daybreak doesn't care about customer goodwill or fostering a cheater-free environment, or LISTENING to customer feedback at all in the first place (which I thought was the point of Early Access in the first place). Once they have your money, they don't care, and neither should you.

H1Z1\Just Survive is another decaying corpse of a game languishing on the storefront that will occasionally get jolts of activity via updates or content patches but none of these last to bring the community back.
H1Z1 is simply another Early Access zombie. Go play Rust instead, or Unturned - that's at least free.
