It's more XCOM, not a groundbreaking game but a fun campaign. It's cheap, get it when it's in sale.

Essentially this is a downgrade from Rise of the Tomb Raider. The games are similar but Shadow is riddled with poorly written npc's that all look the same. The combat is very wonky. Guns seem to have very little impact on an otherwise basically naked native, they sometimes take 3 shotgun hits to the face. The animations are weird where they will just kinda hang around near you and you end up injured.

Jungle is pretty though. Get this game if you really want more Tomb Raider, but it's the worst of the reboot series.

This game is not the Doom you expect. Initially I was disappointed, couldn't quite say why but it wasn't really scratching the same itch as Doom 2016, a game which could put me in the zone, where I didn't really have to think and could just duke it out with my trusty SSG. While in doom eternal you need to watch plenty of different cooldowns, use all your weapons (cause ammo is scarce) and switch their firing modes constantly.

After playing it for a while it grew on me but I don't find myself going back to it often, as the gameplay is quite exhausting, unforgiving and mentally taxing. I still remain no fan of the cooldown management.

While I do miss the more grim narrative of the first game and the story certainly isn't up to par to it's predecessor, everything else is an improvement. Character building is very interesting, the gameplay is great and there's plenty of interesting fights. Make sure to play on Path of the Damned though, it's far too easy otherwise.

Many years ago this was a rather barebones ARPG. Now it has so much content and a never-ending pool of possible builds and combinations to try, and every league we keep getting more. I highly recommend this game, especially to people who were turned off of the game many years ago.

This game will punch you in the face repeatedly while taking away all your self esteem. Highly recommended.

After about 300 hours this game keeps amazing me with it's depth and near infinite replayability, and if this wasn't enough they're adding a 4th character, not as paid DLC but just plain simple extra content. This is definitely my 2019 GOTY, it's an experience I've never seen before.

There are some problems with the pricing and the DLC business model, which I hope will be changed after the barrage of negative reviews.

The game by itself is really what I was looking for however. Short games with a lot of action and different classes that play uniquely. The game is amazing with friends but the AI is more than capable if you want to play solo without pressure.

There are some issues in my opinion with the "nest" game mode, it doesn't make a lot of sense but except for that I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a great co-op shooter.

Edit: So after a few months the DLC pricing really wasn't changed. It's still way too expensive and there's no one playing anymore.
