I've been playing this game since 2011 on multiple consoles. I bought this game 3 times on 3 separate consoles and I think I ripped Bethesda off for the amount of content I've got out of this game. ~3000 hours across different consoles since 2011 and I'm still finding new stuff to do (DLCs included). I have never even modded this game before in all that time. Whatever you mod, will just keep adding to the amount of content available. To this day, it is still my favorite game of all time. Can't go wrong buying this game.

Not gon Lie I got peer pressured into downloading this game. Never before I have I ever been so glad I gave in. Played this game years ago with a few buds. Life happened and we all went our separate ways for a while. Redownloaded this game just recently and it's still just as fun as it was when I first got it.

It may take a while to get the characters you want but it's worth it. Just like smash bros, once you find a character you like, it's a completely different game. Since it's free, you got nothing to lose but time so may as well give it a try.

True story. 10/10 would recommend.

You play this game for story sake not for gameplay. It's very light puzzle gameplay used to tell a story. So people who hate cutscenes, why are you here? Wrong place wrong game!

First of all, buy this and play it already. Don't bother watching it online. It's not as immersive. You have to play it for yourself.

It seems that Freebird Games' Kan Gao has taken Laura Shigihara under his wing. Quite honestly, she has made a masterpiece! I think this game had me in tears on 4, maybe 5, seperate occasions. Both developers are masters at conveying emotion through a game; and to be honest, I think this game may even be better than To the Moon! I'm not going to talk about story, which is the bulk of this game, because you, YES YOU! THE ONE READING THIS! YOU NEED TO PLAY THIS FOR YOURSELF! Seriously it was great. Absolutely nailed it on that story aspect.

Also what I like about Rakuen is that it feels more like a game than To the Moon. Don't get me wrong, I'm not ripping on Kan's masterpiece. I'm just saying that there's a puzzle element to this game that was a lot more present than To the Moon which in turn makes this feel more like a game than an interactive movie.

One other thing that makes this game stand out, was the artstyle. This game is very cute. My mother would occasionally glance at my screen and see some adorable little animations and sprites running around the screen when I played this. Well done there.

I don't have any real gripes about this game but, not going to lie, I needed a guide for a hint at a few certain points. I think one thing that could have made this game better would be a better hint system. Throughout the game you play as a nameless boy and his mother. When you're going through the puzzles, you can turn to mother and ask for a hint. The hints were pretty vague and didn't really help unfortunately. Also perhaps a journal system that keeps track of your quest and puzzle progress would have helped. There were a few quests where you had to find certain items around the map and sometimes I forgot how many of which items I needed to find. I know these are all very minor things but perhaps this could help out in the next game.

Oh and on a side note, it helps to know a little Japanese when you play this game. It is entirely in English but there are some small things around the game that are written in Romaji. Knowing how to read that helps understand the story. It does not at all hinder a player to not know what any of the writings mean, it just reinforces a few story elements if you can understand it.

The music in this game was just great. I knew Laura could sing because of To the Moon, but this is where she step into the spotlight and show us how talented she really is! All of the music was composed and produced by her (with a few guest singers at a few parts). I absolutely loved all of the music in this game!

Unless you don't mind crying in public, I would recommend you play this game by yourself. It is absolutely worth the money and if I could erase my memory and play all 10 hours of this again, I would.

This is my new go-to game. It's cheap and it's worth it. Just hand the man your wallet over the internet already.

I would absolutely recommend this game to anyone looking for a short but very sweet story. I still can't belive a short story that only lasted an hour actually brought me to tears. The story here is told so well with amazing art that we don't even need any dialog or words to begin with. 10/10 Would buy his next game.
