Early Access Review
Witchfire caught my attention when the first gameplay clips were released quite a while ago. Knowing it came from the devs behind "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter" - a game that left a lasting impression on me 10 years ago - I was excited. Their new game however was set to be a very different experience - a genre I don't typically gravitate toward. Therefore, my expectations were relatively low. Still curious about the graphics and level design, I gave it a try.

Pleasantly surprised by how smoothly the game runs I continued to play and soon later noticed that the game offers a very addictive progression system, satisfying gunplay and - of course - beautiful graphics, as well as great sound design, while keeping loading times to a minimum.

This results in a very immersive world, which I believe has a lot of potential (it somewhat reminds me of Epic's "Infinity Blade" and 2010's "Epic Citadel").

Curious to see where it goes from here!

Forest Village plays much like Banished - which is great - and has updated graphics, controls and is much more rich in content. A beautiful game to sink time into.

It runs quite poorly for me, there are too few maps and modes - other than that it's a super fun game with a combat system that works astonishingly well and lots of different + customizable weapons and equipment.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.

A genius piece of software!

It is such an intuitive and enjoyable software to use. I have so much fun working with it.
The non-destructive workflow and the particle brushes are only some of the reasons why.

And I couldn't work without the new features of SP2 anymore in comparison to SP1, I think the upgrade was worth it.
