It's a steal at $20 for the full collection.
I wouldn't say it's as "engoodened" as NMS but it has added some very important features(like coop campaign) post launch.

Just like Post Scriptum: did a few things better than Squad, got tied down by (lack of) development of Squad, and very much dead.

Ballistics and hurtboxes are better, sure.
But the optimization is terrible(squad's fault, probably) and that feels especially bad when playing with bolt action rifles.

Only real difference is Hell Let Loose is a far better replacement of Post Scriptum while Verdun is showing its age.

This will turn into a recommend when proper localization of Simplified Chinese is available.

Tense horror based coop experience that can easily be ruined by idiots.

Great atmosphere/aesthetics(or rather just everything being dark) covered up the less impressive graphics, while having decent performance.

Tbh, game is meh. (full completion, all achievement, on Hard difficulty - which isn't really difficult, at all)

It tries to be dark souls but doesn't have the level design...etc. of it.
It tries to be Witcher 3 with the connect-3 minigame, but it failed to have waifu cards(mostly because it just doesn't have all that many characters).
Voiceacting is decent for the most part except there is no voice acting for average peasants, and facial animation is stiff(at least their faces aren't tired, amirite?).
And if you take a closer look at the levels, past the default UE4 graphics you'll find sharp low poly rocks that obviously could use some off-the-shelf replacement.
And it has too many sections where you're force to walk/can't interact with anything, and stupid QTE/push-forward-only segments in 2020.
That's before the optimization issues.
The plot can be summed up as: Full-Wooden Alchemist.
And the story is very much disjointed with lots of things introduced but not properly explained.

Can't blame them because nobody wants to invest in singleplayer games, and the price on release means they know what they're selling and you should know what you're buying. (a game with a tiny fraction of the budget of Witcher 3, which is already tracksuit and shoestrings)
Towards the end, it will be extremely obvious that the budget ran out.


7/10; was going to be a 6, +1 for nostalgia(I was playing the "3 swords" - Xianjian, Gujian, Xuanyuan Jian since the beginning).

For the price($35usd) on PC(let's not pretend console port is relevant), it's pretty good, if on a sale.

Actually, it sucks.

Still, if you haven't played Witcher 3, buy that one on sale.

Overpriced for what it is.

It's a citybuilder for people who don't want the complexity of actually good city builders.
