Great game, shame the players are rude as hell.

Very cool gameplay idea, reminds me of The Crystal Maze. It's a bit buggy at the moment and sometimes progress can be completely halted by this. Other than the checkpoint system which is only really useful if you die, I would like the ability to skip the lobby past previously completed puzzles so you can jump back to where you left off.

Other than that it's a neat experiment in communication and was quite engaging in terms of solving puzzles

I like the art style and gameplay, it reminds me of a hybrid of Blade Runner, Planet Of The Apes, and Prince of Persia. However the ending feels quite rushed, very short too. Would've been cool if they included the sequel as well, but it just feels incomplete on its' own. Fun for a while, but don't expect much replay value.

Avis donné pendant l'accès anticipé
In its' current state, this game is not very good at all. Originally it was to be a very ambitious tactical sci-fi shooter; with dynamic VoIP acoustics, customisable weapons, and different character classes. Currently, there is none of that, unless you count attaching a silencer as customisation.

There is currently a short threadbare campaign available that consists of three missions on three different maps, not counting the tutorial. These all feel very similar and do not help demonstrate the game's "tactical" gameplay, as it is very simple to run-and-gun as the enemies are not very bright and infinite ammo is available.

The saddest part is that it could have been better, had it had more funding. In promotional material, and partially in the game, characters are able to remove their helmet to talk clearer and to see easier. When your visor is down, it is almost similar to Metroid Prime or Star Wars: Republic Commando, with raindrops and sunlight glare obscuring your vision when it is down. In promotional material, this was also shown to change the sound of your voice, with your voice being more muffled when the visor is down, and clearer when the visor is up. Unfortunately, this feature is not available in the game and probably never will be.

To sum it up, let me recount an experience whilst poking around the game. If you clip inside the player character's helmet, you will find a fully modelled, but untextured face. It looks ready to be used, but unfortunately never is. This sums up the game, potential is there, but the game itself is incomplete.

It's not art, it's not a game. It's three-dimensional white noise.

At least the beaches look nice.

Really awesome remaster of Quake, soundtrack finally working with full multiplayer support and additional graphics options. Runs flawlessly with a lot of love put into the presentation, particularly in the enhanced models that mimic the original low-poly style without sticking out like a sore thumb. Fish AI is broken however and the weapon model animations can break when you're falling, but nothing game-breaking so far that can't be patched later on. Highly recommended

Don't worry too much about the recent DLC shenanigans, just play it and have a fun time. Fun game in its' own right, much better than the first in my opinion.

When I saw this on the store I assumed it would be some kind of eldritch pitch black horror experience with a claustrophobic element similar to Amnesia, sadly I was wrong. The goal of the game is to escape a 3D dungeon from a first person perspective by going down floor by floor, avoiding rats and sentient moss balls along the way. There is a third enemy, but I will get to him later.

When I first started the game, I made sure to dim my lights and play with a controller. Despite this, I just could not get immersed. The controls work similar to the first Elder Scrolls games or a first person classic Tomb Raider game; you can move foward one step, step backwards, turn sharp left, sharp right, or sidestep to the left and right. Essentially you're on a grid the entire time and can only make very specific movements. This does not help me feel like I'm in this dungeon, as I tend to end up walking backwards through the dungeon and just moving in very unconventional ways, practically fighting with the controls.

The inventory is just awful. You can equip two items, one item in each hand. This is done by picking the item up and placing it in your desired hand slot. This sounds fine on paper, but I found that the most successful way to get through the dungeon is to keep moving, which results in a lot of dropped items. One time I was on the final floor of the dungeon. I unequiped my flashlight to check how much battery it had left, but I accidently pressed my use button and ended up throwing the flashlight down the halls, rendering me blind. I can probably see how this system would work if there was some actual need for inventory management, but there are so few items that it just becomes a chore and pulls me out of the experience.

The nail in the coffin for this game for me was the enemies. The graphics were fine- they reminded me of a mixture of Thief and Lovecraftian horror- the sound design was gritty and worked in helping me get immersed before being pulled out again by the previously mentioned problems, but the enemies are just not scary at all. As mentioned at the start, the two main enemies are rats and small moss balls, but there is a third. The third enemy is a ghost who wanders through the maze, it doesn't attack you, nor does it do anything remotely threatening. The most I've seen it do is glance at me as it glides past. That's not scary to me at all, I have no reason to be scared of a ghost who does nothing but mind its' own business.

Overall, this is a pretty but poorly designed horror game. If you're going to make a grid-based dungeon crawler, make one, but it does not work for a horror game where the whole point is to be immersed and scared as a result. Unless you're born with a disability where you can only turn at 90 degree angles, play something else.

None of the events in the trailer happens in the game, no voice acting either. While the CPR aspect is informative and useful information, the game approached it as a glorified questionaire. You don't have to press anything to perform CPR, only choose an option from a drop down list and have an animation play.

I would only recommend this to somehow who wants to know the bare minimum needed to learn CPR, as the game itself feels very rushed.
