Very fun arcadey experience. Controls are easy to understand and feel especially great on a flight stick, if it can work on my old Logitech Attack 3 that's been buried at the back of my wardrobe then what ever stick setup you've got should work fine! There aren't many missions but they make up for it by having a good amount of challenge, I especially enjoy the scenario missions as they feature some randomisation elements to keep things fresh. In the future I'd love to see improvements to enemy AI, as they can put out a lot of damage if you're not careful but when under fire they don't seem to defend themselves.

Overall this is a pretty fun experience and I look forward to seeing how it evolves

Starts fantastic, like really bloody good pacing and atmosphere with some genuinely cool puzzles. However halfway through it totally ♥♥♥♥♥ the bed and turns into the grind of Slender with the jumpscares of FNAF. Initially had a glowing review of this game, but now I really can't stand by it

Fantastic tribute to the original Shadowgate, keeps very closely to what made the original great whilst keeping it accessible enough for modern audiences. No more torch timers, deaths are less frustrating as respawns do not cause much progress loss, and the puzzles rarely require large leaps in logic. Not quite as replayable as the Shadowgate remake due to its lack of difficulty options or alternate playstyles, but if you want a more pure NES game experience you really can't go wrong with this

Very much an easy to learn hard to master kind of experience. Don't expect immediate gratification and dropping nukes left and right, you've got to earn your awesome destructive nukes unless you want to be immediately shot down. My only criticism is that the tutorial isn't exactly all-encompassing. I wish there were more specified scenarios to show off the uses of the various missiles, their ranges, and on what units to use them. Overall a very promising game for the price point, but don't expect Ace Combat

Can't recommend it at the moment from my experience. Game runs far slower than the original, the only way to alter the framerate is hidden in the controller settings by pressing LB+RB or what ever your equivalent is which only mitigates it slightly as frame drops are still noticeable in codec calls of all places. graphical options are minimal with only one "CRT" filter preset that just adds thick scanlines and nothing else. You do get multiple versions of MGS1 include Integral and VR Missions, but you would have a much better time just emulating it through Retroarch or your PS1 emulator of choice

Absolutely cathartic once you adjust to the visuals, combat is tense and satisfying, soundtrack can fluctuate to a dreamlike fuzz then back to a dreary industrial drone. Sewage infused garbage world is very appropriate in that it has a sense of fun but a noticeable rot to the whole presentation. Don't let the graphics put you off, this game knows what it's doing and you wont be disappointed

Fantastic remake of the original, keeps the aesthetic and feeling of the original intact whilst altering some of the more tedious puzzles. You can argue that it has become too easy in some places, but as someone who got stuck on the original for years before completing it I found the changes acceptable. Not too much in terms of new lore or events, all the story beats are the same with little additions and side areas to expanded their environments out a bit more. Overall I highly recommend it if you like the original or even if you just like how it looks

Sony has pulled the game from sale in many countries that previously offered it for sale, meaning that people who have purchased keys cannot activate them and are presumably no longer able to play it without access to a VPN. Fantastic game by Arrowhead but ♥♥♥♥ Sony

Really didn't do anything for me unfortunately. If you're looking for a narrative experience then you may have to look elsewhere for anything of substance. While this does have a premise, there isn't really anything to really think too deeply about. If you're looking for quiet exploration, you may also want to look elsewhere. Locations are very linear which is common in this type of game, but control is frequently wrestled away instead of just letting you be there.

This game's incredibly ambitious and for the most part it succeeds. It's an incredibly immersive sandbox where you can live out your fantasy of being a hobo detective in a retro-futurist noir city. While it has the most in-depth investigation gameplay I've seen in a game, it also has various quiet moments where you can just take in the atmosphere and drink a coffee in the rain. If you want something really comfy that you can get sucked into I highly recommend, but watch out for the expected early access optimisation issues as gametime goes on
