Adored my journey through HorrorVale and can easily recommend it if you're a fan of a good ol' turn based RPG. Especially if you enjoy games like FF6 with their team building emphasis and large cast. The passion behind this is easy to spot and be taken by. I await desperately to see what BatWorks creates next!


From old school to new age horror, they captured my curiosity to where it'd lead next. I imagined it'd be a fun referential romp with my favorite spooks. Turned out having a whole lotta solid world building where re-spawning being canon made for plenty provoking concepts you'd wouldn't have otherwise.

What I was promised was a 30 hour experience, turned into a 50 hours plus as I saw everything that there was to see. Well worth the price! A good percent of that was RPGmaker's battle speeds slowing down the pace. But a far better percent was all the companion quests and Alice's story. I crave even more interactions between the characters, something understandably difficult with such a large roster. Yet doesn't prevent me from desiring more for how much I enjoyed my time in HorrorVale!
