What started out as a mod has been in development for more than a decade and turned into a full retail release, with workshop compatibility. The developers of the game have put so much effort into recreating the Black Mesa incident and Gordon's journey to Xen, and created bits and pieces of extra lore to help immerse the player even more. The team has put considerable time in updating the game with graphical enhancements and even new features over the years.

They turned Xen from the original Half Life from an ugly brown and barren border-world into a lush world with it's own alien ecosystem, an extreme overhaul from the original Half Life levels. This is a must play for avid fans of the Half Life series as it fills the void for Half Life content.
