Game is buggy. Has to have 200 gigs free to update if you are playing on a modded server. I have 1000 gigs total this game when patching technically takes up 400 gigs. I need 200 free to patch and the game itself takes the other 200 gigs. So honestly if you have a smaller storage system stay away. However, if you also don't like weird ui bugs, DCing often, your dinos flying under the map, or having to contact a mod 24/7 to get help fixing what Ark broke then this game is for you! ♥

Edit: I also have all these issues on the lowest settings possible to run the best performance. So for reference all of my animals look like you described them to a kid and had them draw em. You'd think sacrificing that at least would lead to better performance but a little spoiler it doesn't.

This game is great so many quality of life things. Hope it gets the love it deserves! ♥

This game has been out for 7 days, and I have 74 hours on it. I have a crippling addiction and 15 assignments due tonight. Wish me luck. (Update after the deadlines I made it.)
